The rolling bearing has an outer race (13), which is supported against the head housing (2) radially in the support (14) in the area of a raceway (22) and which has a sub-area (21), the outside diameter D2 of which is reduced compared to the outside diameter D1 in the area of the raceway (22). The head housing has a housing projection (23), which extends into the area of the reduced outside diameter D2, and the media-conducting line (17) runs at least partially through said housing projection (23).
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR PREVENTATIVE DENTAL HARD TISSUE TREATMENT WITH A LASER
This disclosure relates to various systems and methods related to preventative laser-based treatment of a dental tissue; for example, to prevent a patient from forming cavities. In some instances, a laser-based treatment system can generate a laser beam pulse with a fluence profile at a treatment site that results in either an increase in acid resistance of the tissue or removal of carbonate from the tissue, without melting or ablating the tissue. In some instances, the laser-based treatment system can direct the laser beam to various locations within a treatment site according to a temporal and/or spatial pattern, that results in either an increase in acid resistance of the tissue or removal of carbonate from the tissue, without melting or ablating the tissue. Many other systems and techniques for preventative and other laser-based treatment are also described.
System and Apparatus for Controlling the Flexibility and Stiffness of a Superelastic Endodontic File
The aim of the invention disclosed herein is to control and regulate the stiffness and flexibility of an endodontic file exploiting its super-elastic and shape-memory characteristics. This result is achievable thanks to temperature-induced phase transformations of the file performed by a proper heating and cooling system managed by a control system in a handpiece. Different designs of the apparatus implementing the proposed solution are disclosed.
OVERLOAD PROTECTION DEVICE AND HIGH-SPEED DENTAL HANDPIECE COMPRISING SAME
The overload protection device used on a high-speed dental handpiece includes a valve body, a piston, an elastic member, and a valve plug. The valve body is provided with an air chamber and an air intake passage in communication with each other. The piston is arranged in the air chamber. The valve plug is arranged at an end of the air chamber away from the air intake passage and is connected with the valve body. The elastic member is arranged between the piston and the valve plug. An outer surface of the valve body is provided with a plurality of air discharging holes which is in communication with the air chamber. The piston is capable of opening or closing the air discharging holes when moving vertically within the air chamber. The present invention further discloses a high-speed dental handpiece with an overload protection device.
TURBINE-DRIVEN DENTAL INSTRUMENT
Flow-driven dental instrument (1), comprising a grip part (2), a head part (3), a media line (4), and a fastening means (8), wherein the grip part (2) is constructed in the form of a sleeve with two ends and a media connection (5) is disposed on the first end. At the second end, the head part (3) projects at least partially into the grip part (2). A first end of the media line (4) is connected to the head part (3) and the media line (4) extends from the head part (3) through the grip part (2) to the media connection (5). The fastening means (8) comprises a sleeve (9) having an external thread and a nut (10) having an internal thread, wherein the sleeve (9) is connected to the outer wall of the media line (4) in a material-locking manner and, at least in a direction toward the head part (3), the nut is held in the grip part (2) in a fixed position.
Medical dental grinding apparatus
A medical dental grinding apparatus comprises an apparatus body, wherein an air pipeline, a clamping mechanism, and a grinding mechanism are provided in the apparatus body; the air pipeline includes an air inlet pipeline, an air outlet pipeline, and a U-shaped connection pipeline; a silencer is connected to an upper port of the air outlet pipeline; a plane where the air pipeline is located is perpendicular to a plane where the clamping mechanism is located, and the grinding mechanism is provided below the air pipeline; the grinding mechanism is driven by high-pressure air in the air pipeline to operate, so that a hidden danger of electric leakage caused by using an electric apparatus in a fragile oral environment is avoided; and a steel wire is fixed by the clamping mechanism, so that the grinding safety is ensured.
Orthodontic system with tooth movement and position measuring, monitoring, and control
An orthodontic system and method for moving and aligning at least one tooth of a set of teeth of at least one of an upper jaw and a lower jaw of a patient. In the system and method an orthodontic appliance can be provided which may include a force exerting member for applying a force to and moving the at least one tooth, a tooth movement sensor member for obtaining at least one of tooth movement data, tooth position data, and tooth identification data, and a tooth movement monitor for calculating at least one of an amount of tooth movement and tooth position from the at least one of the tooth movement data, the tooth position data, and the tooth identification data obtained with the tooth movement sensor arrangement. An electronic control console may be operatively connected to the force exerting member and in data communication with the tooth movement monitor, for controlling the operation of the force exerting member based on the at least one of the tooth movement data, the tooth position data, and the tooth identification data received from the tooth movement monitor.
