Bone Stabilized Base Guide and Method for Attaching and Positioning a Robotic Intra-Oral Surgical Device
A robotic surgical reference guide. The robotic surgical reference guide may include a reference block; a base guide or frame body; and one or more connection arms, wherein the reference block may be connected to the base guide or frame body via the one or more connection arms.
APPARATUS AND A METHOD TO VERIFY SAFE POSITIONING OF OSTEOTOMY TRAJECTORY FOR ZYGOMATIC IMPLANT SURGERY
An apparatus for verifying an osteotomy trajectory may include a straight rod portion extending along a first axis in a first direction, a sliding arm slidably coupled to the straight rod portion and configured to slide along a sliding direction on the straight rod portion along the first axis. The sliding arm may include a sliding portion slidably coupled to the straight rod portion to slide along the sliding direction, a pointing portion including a tip protruded along a second axis in a second direction, the second axis being at least substantially parallel to the first axis, and an extending portion having a first side attached to the sliding portion and a second side attached to the pointing portion. The apparatus further includes a fixed arm coupled to the straight rod portion and configured to mount a drill thereon to point the drill along the second axis toward the tip.
Method of Creating a Dental Implant Drill-Guide
A method of creating a dental implant drill-guide is provided comprising the steps of using mucosal impression data of an edentulous maxillary or mandibular arch having a plurality of orthodontic screws inserted into the osseous tissue thereof and which extend through the gingival mucosa, along with image data of the arch to determine dental implant position data for the insertion of one or more dental implants into the edentulous maxillary or mandibular arch relative to the positions of the plurality of orthodontic screws. It is then possible to create a dental implant drill-guide to guide the drilling of dental-implant cavities in the edentulous maxillary or mandibular arch, and subsequently create a dental implant drill-guide from the dental implant drill-guide parameter data, the dental implant drill-guide having a plurality of orthodontic screw-seats which are engagable with the said plurality of orthodontic screws.
POSITIONING AND INSTALLING SURGICAL DRILLING DEVICES AND RELATED DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
In some aspects, dental drill guides can include a body defining an outer surface and an interior hole for receiving and positioning a dental drill; a first end of the body defining a tapered lead-in portion of the outer surface; a second end of the body opposite the first end defining at least one lip feature configured to be gripped by a handling tool; an outer circumferentially formed recess around the outer surface; and a seating feature extending from the outer surface.
DENTAL ALIGNMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DENTAL IMPLANT PLACEMENT
A dental alignment guide system for dental implant placement has an anatomical guide, a tooth supported guide and a surgical guide. The system further can have an articulation piece, a prosthetic seat, an analog anatomical model and artificial teeth. The system has a plurality of implants, the implants being abutments, preferably multiunit abutments, a plurality of screws for attaching the anatomical guide to bone, pins to removably attach the various guides and the artificial teeth to the anatomical guide as assemblies during the method of practicing the invention.
Method for pre-operative visualization of instrumentation used with a surgical guide for dental implant placement
The invention relates to manufacturing a surgical guide to be placed in a patient's mouth. The patient's mouth is scanned to obtain surgical-region scan data at a region where an implant is to be located. The patient's mouth is also scanned in the opened position to acquire dental conditions opposite from the surgical region so as to obtain opposing-condition scan data. A virtual model is developed using the surgical-region scan data and the opposing-condition scan data. Using the virtual model, a surgical plan is developed that includes the location of the implant to be installed in the patient. A virtual surgical guide is also developed based on the surgical plan. The dimensions of instrumentation to be used with the surgical guide are checked to ensure they will fit within the mouth by use of the opposing-condition scan data. After checking, final surgical-guide manufacturing information is obtained for manufacturing the surgical guide.
Method for implant surgery using augmented visualization
A method for guiding the position of a dental drill for implant treatment of a patient, the method acquiring a volume image of patient anatomy; superimposing an image of a planned drill hole on a display of the acquired volume image according to observer instructions to form an implant plan; displaying at least a portion of the implant plan in stereoscopic form on a head-mounted device worn by an observer and tracking patient position so that the displayed portion of the implant plan is registered to the patient anatomy that lies in the observer's field of view; and highlighting the location of the planned drill hole on the head-mounted device display.
DRILL TEMPLATE FOR DRILLING AN IMPLANT HOLE FOR A DENTAL IMPLANT
The invention relates to a drill template for drilling an implant hole for a dental implant, the drill template having a through-opening and at least one aperture, wherein the drill template is provided or can be placed for resting or bearing against a jaw, palate and/or one or more teeth and is at least partially adapted to the geometry of the jaw, palate and/or one or more teeth, wherein the through-opening is provided for guiding a drill, in particular a dental implant drill, and/or for inserting a guide sleeve for a drill, and wherein the aperture is provided for conducting a fluid, wherein the drill template comprises a fluid-conducting element.
BONE FOUNDATION GUIDE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A bone foundation guide system has a bone foundation guide including a body that is contoured to reversibly affix to a bone segment of a dental implant surgical site. The body is further contoured to guide the cutting of a portion of the bone segment from a dental implant surgical site and alternatively support a dental implant surgical guide. The body is further contoured to support a bone foundation guide prosthesis as an alternative to the dental implant surgical guide. The bone foundation guide prosthesis combines with the body to accommodate the bone segment portion as placed through the body prior to the bone segment portion being removed from the dental implant site through the use of the body.
Edentulous surgical guide
A dental surgical drill guide assembly and method includes a surgical guide housing and a base frame that fits to both gum tissue and one or multiple small areas of jawbone. The apparatus may be configured to accurately place dental implants according to planned positions. Such apparatus may increase the stability of the surgical guide by clasping and/or contacting the jawbone, while improving the overall fit and minimizing the need of invasive surgery and flapping by also clasping and/or contacting selected areas of the gum tissue at the same time. Self-locking alignment members aid in easy removal, and re-installation, of the surgical guide housing to the base frame.
