Dental Prosthesis
A dental prosthesis having a guide hole formed therein. The guide hole is configured to guide a drilling for a screw, and configured to receive the screw, holding the prosthesis in place when screwed into the bone of a patient.
Abutment assembly and manufacturing method thereof
An abutment assembly includes an abutment, an adjustable buffer member and an adhesive. There is an angle between an extending direction of the abutment and a Z-axis direction, and the angle is greater than or equal to 0 degrees and smaller than or equal to 30 degrees. The adjustable buffer member is closely connected to the abutment having a positioning structure. The adjustable buffer member includes an engaging structure, an inner side wall, a base portion and a grinding portion. The engaging structure is engaged with the positioning structure. The inner side wall has at least one inner annular groove corresponding to the engaging structure. The base portion has a base thickness which is smaller than or equal to 4 mm. The adhesive is connected between the abutment and the adjustable buffer member, and contained in the inner annular groove. The grinding portion is manufactured by the instrument.
Components for use with a surgical guide for dental implant placement
The present invention is a surgical guide for guiding the insertion of a dental implant into a desired location in a patient's mouth. The implant includes a non-rotational structure. The surgical guide includes a structure and a master tube. The structure has a negative impression surface to be fitted on and placed over gingival tissue, bone, and/or teeth in the patient's mouth. The structure includes an opening through which the dental implant is placed. The master tube is located at the opening. The master tube includes indicia for alignment with the non-rotational structure on the implant such that the non-rotational structure of the implant is at a known angular orientation with respect to the master tube. The present invention includes kits of various components used with the surgical guide and with the dental surgery using the surgical guide.
IMPLANT-BASED ATTACHMENT SYSTEM FOR DENTAL IMPLANT SURGICAL GUIDE AND METHOD
The disclosure relates to methods for attaching a dental implant surgical guide and a dental implant to a dental surgical site including: assembling an implant combination, positioning the dental implant surgical guide including a double open-ended guide cylinder at the dental surgical site; rotating the implant combination through the double open-ended guide channel; and attaching a cap comprising a hollow cylinder to the double open-ended guide channel so the rim of the implant mount body is sandwiched between the dental surgical guide and the cap. The disclosure further relates to a dental prosthesis apparatus including: an abutment; a dental implant; a dental implant surgical guide including a first and a second double open-ended guide cylinder connected by a support bar; an implant mount including a rim; and a cap operable to engage the dental implant surgical guide and sandwich the rim between the cap and the dental implant surgical guide.
BONE ANCHOR, KIT AND METHOD OF USE
According to an aspect of some embodiments there is provided a bone anchor including an elongated core having a tip at a distal end and coupled to a head at a proximal end, and a segmented helical thread defining one or more gaps therein, each gap defining at least a trailing wall, the trailing wall having a cutting surface including at least one cutting edge. The bone cutting surface and the cutting edge configured to cut bone and guide bone fragments radially inwards. According to an aspect of some embodiments there is further provided a bone anchor kit and a method for implanting the bone anchor in bone.
Surgical robot system for integrated surgical planning and implant preparation, and associated method
Dental implantation systems and methods are provided, including a site preparation device for preparing a site within a patient's mouth for receiving an anchor portion of a dental implant. An implant preparation device forms a crown portion of the dental implant for reception by the anchor portion. A guidance device communicates with a fiducial marker engaged with the patient's mouth, to interchangeably receive the site and implant preparation devices, and to guide the site and/or implant preparation device, relative to the fiducial marker, in conjunction with manipulation thereof by a user. A planning device communicates with and via the guidance device, and determines an arrangement of the dental implant at the site, to direct the site preparation device to prepare the site to receive the dental implant arrangement, and to direct the implant preparation device to prepare the crown portion for receipt by the anchor portion.
Parallel alignment apparatus for facilitating prosthodontic restorations and method of use
A dental alignment apparatus for aligning and positioning one or more prosthodontic restoration member relative to at least one reference prosthodontic restoration member disposed on the same jaw.
System and Method for the Design, Creation and Installation of Prostheses
An improved system and method for the design, creation and installation of implant-supported dental prostheses is provided. A network accessible portal facilitates communication among a dental professional, a scanning center, a manufacturing center and others in the design and production of a dental drill guide and prosthesis, utilizing cone beam imaging, a rotatable 3-dimension representation of a patient's jaw, virtual placement of one or more implants and virtual testing prior to manufacture. Dental professionals may access the portal on a subscription or non-subscription basis.
METHOD OF USING AN ENDENTULOUS SURGICAL GUIDE
An approach is disclosed that involves creating an updated master dental model of a patient's mouth after an implant surgery by aligning new postoperative oral scan data to pre-existing preoperative oral scan data that is more comprehensive (e.g., it includes bite registration). Before surgery a multi-piece stackable surgical guide set is created using the preoperative oral scan data. The surgical guide set is used to facilitate the surgery. After the surgery at least one piece of the surgical guide set is placed back in a patient's mouth and may act as a reference marker because it was created using the preoperative oral scan data, but is also part of the postoperative mouth configuration since it was used to facilitate the surgery. The affected portion of the mouth may then be digitally scanned directly or indirectly by way of a physical impression with the reference marker in place to determine the new characteristics resulting from the surgery such as new implant installation locations and orientations. The new postoperative oral scan data may be combined with the pre-existing preoperative oral scan data by way of the reference marker (since it is a constant between the two sets of scan data) without having to do such things as take a new bite registration, on which a new implant restoration can be easily created.
Apparatus and a method to verify safe positioning of osteotomy trajectory for zygomatic implant surgery
An apparatus for verifying an osteotomy trajectory includes a straight rod portion extending along a first axis in a first direction, a sliding arm slidably coupled to the straight rod portion and configured to slide along a sliding direction on the straight rod portion along the first axis. The sliding arm may include a sliding portion slidably coupled to the straight rod portion to slide along the sliding direction, a pointing portion including a tip protruded along a second axis in a second direction, the second axis being at least substantially parallel to the first axis, and an extending portion having a first side attached to the sliding portion and a second side attached to the pointing portion. The apparatus further includes a fixed arm coupled to the straight rod portion and configured to mount a drill thereon to point the drill along the second axis toward the tip.
