Removable System and Method for Dentures and Surgical Guides
A removable system and method for helping position and stabilize implant supported dentures during the healing process after surgery is provided, wherein a removable system comprises a soft tissue supported provisional denture structure configured to help position and stabilize the provisional denture during the transfer of the implant positions to the provisional denture. In the surgical process of providing implant-supported dentures, immediately after the implants are surgically implanted, adhesive is applied to the underside of the provisional denture, and implant connectors are seated on the implants. The provisional denture is seated in the patient's mouth wherein the soft tissue supported provisional denture structure helps stabilize and position the denture. The implant connectors adhere to the adhesive and transfer the implant positions to the provisional denture.
GUIDE PIN FOR DENTAL IMPLANT SURGERY
Provided is a guide pin for dental implant surgery, providing guidance so that a practitioner easily determines a location and angle of an alveolar bone of a patient when forming an implant hole in the alveolar bone to place an implant in the alveolar bone. By using the guide pin for dental implant surgery according to the inventive concept, a practitioner may perform the surgery by determining an accurate location and shape of the alveolar bone of the patient when drilling an implant hole in the alveolar bone, and thus, the success rate of the implant surgery may be increased.
Method of installing a final dental prosthesis
A cradle, assembly, system and method for installing a prosthesis at a surgical site. The cradle temporarily engages the prosthesis and holds it in the correct orientation and position adjacent the surgical site. An aperture is defined in the cradle and a portion of the prosthesis is received therein. In one embodiment, the cradle, assembly and system are used to install a final dental prosthesis in a patient's mouth in a single visit to the dentist's office. A securement member pins the surgical template and subsequently the cradle to the jaw. A metal sub-structure on the final dental prosthesis is received in the aperture in the cradle. Cylinders attached to implants anchored in the jaw extend through holes in the sub-structure and are bonded to the prosthesis. The cradle is detached from the jaw and from the prosthesis prior to screws being re-inserted through the cylinders and into the implants.
METHOD OF CAPTURING DIGITAL OCCLUSAL BITE DATA FOR EDENTULOUS PATIENTS
A method of obtaining a digital occlusal bite, whether of single or both edentulous arches, without the need for a dental/arch impression. The method may include creating a clear stent from a patient's existing denture, placing one or more abutments into position according to the clear stent, scanning one or more of the patient's dental arches while one or more abutments are in place, and placing the stent in the patient's mouth into a bite position for capturing a true occlusal bite as a digital file.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING IMAGE GUIDED MEDICAL PROCEDURE
The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for performing image guided medical procedure. In generating a virtual anatomical part such as a virtual jawbone for treatment planning, imaging techniques such as CT or MRI scanning of the actual jawbone is accomplished with no actual tracking marker attached to the patient, or with no virtual model of actual tracking markers being acquired and subsequently used in any other step of the method.
Dental tools system and method
A dental tools system with a plurality of guide tabs; a mold and a plurality of tissue punch heads. The mold has a plurality of mold holes, each mold hole having a top portion and a bottom portion. Each guide tab fits in the top portion of one of the mold holes and each tissue punch head fits in the top portion of one of the mold holes. A method of placing dental implants is also described.
Head-worn platform for integrating virtuality with reality
The invention relates to a device for obtaining and processing of 3D images. The device includes a head assembly, on which two cameras are arranged, with each camera having an associated monitor for displaying a respective image of each camera, so that the optical axes of the monitors coincide with the optical axes of the eyes of a user of the device or can be aligned at least parallel to the optical axes of the eyes of a user. The device further includes a data processing unit for data processing of camera images. The device is characterized in that the cameras are synchronized with each other so that they focus on a common point with same aperture and the same zoom. The inventive device enables 3D scanning, which is controlled by the natural vision with two eyes.
Mill blanks based on a polymerized, fracture-tough prosthesis material
The subject matter of the invention is a three-dimensional molded body, in particular a milling blank, made of a polymerizable prosthetic material, which is suitable for milling machining by means of CNC and/or CAD/CAM, having a fracture toughness of greater than or equal to 1.9 Mpa.Math.m.sup.1/2 and a fracture work of greater than or equal to 900 J/m.sup.2. The milling blank preferably comprises core-shell particles modified by an elastic phase and is optionally based on a content of urethane (meth)acrylate polymerized into the polymer. Moreover, a subject matter of the invention is the use of the milling blanks for the production of at least parts of dental prosthetic parts, such as a prosthesis, artificial teeth, bridges, or of orthodontic appliances and instruments in medical field.
Therapeutic Tooth Bud Ablation
A system including a sensored ablation probe tip and a virtual stent, said sensored ablation probe tip for use in a tooth bud ablation procedure that results in tooth agenesis, said sensored ablation probe tip for use with an ablation probe unit. A system including a sensored ablation probe tip and a stent, said sensored ablation probe tip for use in a tooth bud ablation procedure that results in tooth agenesis, said sensored ablation probe tip for use with an ablation probe unit
APPARATUS AND METHODS WITH SURGICAL GUIDES HAVING ROUTED LIQUID COOLANT IRRIGATION
Provided herein are surgical guides with internal channels for irrigation cooling. In one embodiment, an apparatus for guiding a surgical instrument includes a proximal side and a distal side. A first channel is configured to guide a material removal device, where the first channel extends from the proximal side of the apparatus to the distal side of the apparatus. A second channel configured to direct irrigation fluid, where the second channel extends from the proximal side of the of the apparatus to the distal side of the apparatus. The first channel is separate from the second channel. A method of performing a surgical procedure and a method of manufacturing a surgical guide are also disclosed. In certain embodiments, the surgical guides may be manufactured via additive manufacturing processes, including for example, three-dimensional printing processes.
