Bone foundation guide and method of use
A bone foundation guide with a bone foundation guide body contoured to guide a cutting implement to alter an exposed bone of a dental surgical site. The bone foundation guide body may form an encircled open surgical space that continuously connects a top and a bottom of the bone foundation guide body. The bottom may be further contoured to affix to the exposed bone of the dental surgical site while the top is further adapted to support a dental implant surgical guide or in the alternative a cutting containment guard. The cutting containment guard may have a cutting channel for receiving the exposed bone when the cutting containment guard is combined with the bone foundation guide body. The combination forms a cutting slot for guiding a cutting edge of a cutting implement to alter the exposed bone from the dental implant surgical guide.
Bone foundation guide system and method
A bone foundation guide system and method, the system could includes a bone foundation guide including a body forming an open surgical space, the body further having a bottom contoured to reversibly affix to exposed bone of a dental surgical site and a top contoured to match a bottom side of a dental implant surgical guide; at least one anchoring strut that removably attaches to the body with an apex of the anchoring strut further denoting one or more indentations for matching up with and receiving one or more portions of one alveolar ridge that opposes another alveolar ridge supporting the dental surgical site; alternatively to the anchoring struts and a tissue spacing gasket, the dental implant surgical guide that removably connects to the body; and alternatively to the anchoring struts or the dental implant surgical guide, the tissue spacing gasket that removably connects to the body.
BONE FOUNDATION GUIDE AND METHODS OF USE
One possible embodiment of the invention could be a combination of a bone foundation guide and a dental implant surgical guide and a method of use, the guide comprising a body having a buccal wall and a lingual wall that is continuously connected by a first end and second end forming an open surgical space connecting a top of the body with a bottom of the body, wherein the bottom is further contoured to receive and rest upon at least a portion of a bone segment of a respective patient's alveolar ridge to guide the surgical alteration of a respective patient's alveolar ridge; a dental implant surgical guide that is capable of locating and securing one or more implants upon the respective patient's alveolar ridge; wherein the dental implant surgical guide fits upon the top, the top being contoured to receive and support the dental implant surgical guide.
Surgical guiding tool, method and kit for placing dental implants
A device suitable for the subsequent positioning of a dental implant, having a handle extending along a longitudinal axis and having a proximal and a distal end, and a bifurcated abutment at the distal end and at the proximal end of the handle, each abutment having two legs, whereby the configuration of the two legs on the proximal abutment is mirrored with respect to the configuration on the distal end. At least one bifurcated abutment is adapted to embrace the processus pyramidalis ossis palatini and/or the processus pterygoideus ossis sphenoidalis and/or the tuberosity of the maxilla.
System and Method for Producing Dental Solutions Incorporating a Guidance Package
A method of producing a retention piece having a guidance package configured to provide a desired movement profile including: obtaining data descriptive of mandibular and maxillary arches, an index position of the mandibular arch at a maximum closure position, and a temporomandibular joint of a recipient; specifying an appropriate guidance package based on the desired movement profile; positioning a retention piece comprising at least a portion of the specified guidance package about virtual representations of at least one of the mandibular and maxillary arches within a virtual articulator; modeling relative movement of the virtual representations of the mandibular and maxillary arches within the virtual articulator; and generating data that can be used by a computer aided machining (CAM) process to create at least one physical retention piece comprising the specified guidance package configured to provide the desired movement profile.
Removable system and method for dentures and surgical guides
A removable system and method for helping position and stabilize implant supported dentures during the healing process after surgery is provided, wherein a removable system comprises a soft tissue supported provisional denture structure configured to help position and stabilize the provisional denture during the transfer of the implant positions to the provisional denture. In the surgical process of providing implant-supported dentures, immediately after the implants are surgically implanted, adhesive is applied to the underside of the provisional denture, and implant connectors are seated on the implants. The provisional denture is seated in the patient's mouth wherein the soft tissue supported provisional denture structure helps stabilize and position the denture. The implant connectors adhere to the adhesive and transfer the implant positions to the provisional denture.
AUGMENTED REALITY GUIDANCE FOR SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems, devices and methods for performing a surgical step or surgical procedure with visual guidance using an optical head mounted display. Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems, devices and methods for displaying, placing, fitting, sizing, selecting, aligning, moving a virtual implant on a physical anatomic structure of a patient and, optionally, modifying or changing the displaying, placing, fitting, sizing, selecting, aligning, moving, for example based on kinematic information.
Method, apparatus, and computer program for planning implant surgery
Disclosed herein is a method of supporting implant surgery in a server, which includes obtaining a subject's oral CT image scanned with a guide model inserted into an oral cavity of the subject, the guide model being manufactured to a certain standard to group human teeth in any range so that the teeth belong to at least one group and to cover a tooth position of a corresponding group, the guide model including a marker made of a radiopaque or radiation semipermeable material, loading a library as information about the standard of the guide model, identifying the marker in the oral CT image, and generating a library matching CT image by matching the oral CT image with the library based on the marker included in the library and the marker identified in the oral CT image, and planning implant surgery of the subject using the library matching CT image.
SURGICAL GUIDE FOR PLACING DENTAL IMPLANTS
A surgical guide system for the placement of dental implants includes a guide base attachable to the maxillary or mandibular bone, an aligner attachable to the base and to be positioned in the space relative to the reference tooth, teeth, or other anatomical landmarks remaining in the mouth, and a drilling guide attachable to the guide base and including at least one drill guide hole for guiding a drill. wherein the guide base: is substantially rigid; is resting mostly on the mucosa; is essentially matching the shape of a maxilla or a mandible and present a central part placed on the interior surface of the jaw, intended to provide lingual or palatal support, and is widely perforated along the maxillary or mandibular ridge, in order to allow past any teeth still present at the start of the operation or implants to be installed during the operation.
Bone foundation guide system and method
A bone foundation guide system has a bone foundation guide including a body that is contoured to reversibly affix to a bone segment of a dental implant surgical site. The body is further contoured to guide the cutting of a portion of the bone segment from a dental implant surgical site and alternatively support a dental implant surgical guide. The body is further contoured to support a bone foundation guide prosthesis as an alternative to the dental implant surgical guide. The bone foundation guide prosthesis combines with the body to accommodate the bone segment portion as placed through the body prior to the bone segment portion being removed from the dental implant site through the use of the body.
