Splint device for forming a fiducial marker for a surgical robot guidance system, and associated method
A method of implementing a splint device, and associated splint device, are provided for a guidance system of a surgical robot. A splint body includes first and second stabilizing portions extending from opposed lateral sides of a medial portion, and defines a U channel. The medial portion, or the medial portion and one of the stabilizing portions, defines a bridge portion extending along the U channel. A partition member, received by the bridge portion, extends into and longitudinally along the U channel. An adhesive material is engaged with the splint body, within the U channel. The U channel is engaged about a tooth or jaw of a patient, and urged toward the tooth or jaw, such that the partition member engages the tooth or jaw and separates the adhesive material into a first portion engaged with the first stabilizing portion and a second portion engaged with the second stabilizing portion.
MEDICAL TREATMENT ASSISTING APPARATUS
A medical treatment assisting apparatus includes a multi-joint robot, a position specification unit, an abnormality determination unit, and a control unit. The multi-joint robot has a multi-joint arm in which a plurality of arms are connected through a joint. The position specification unit specifies a treatment position that is the position of a portion of a patient to be subjected to a medical treatment in a real space. The abnormality determination unit determines whether or not a state of the treatment position based on the displacement of the treatment position specified by the position specification unit is in an abnormal state, which is predefined to indicate an abnormality. The control unit performs a safety control which increases the safety of the medical treatment when a determination result of the abnormality determination unit indicates that the state of the treatment position is in the abnormal state.
SYSTEM & METHOD FOR THE DESIGN, CREATION AND INSTALLATION OF IMPLANT-SUPPORTED DENTAL PROSTHESES
An improved system and method for the design, creation and installation of implant-supported dental prostheses is provided. A network accessible portal facilitates communication among a dental professional, a scanning center, a manufacturing center and others in the design and production of a dental drill guide and prosthesis, utilizing cone beam imaging, a rotatable 3-dimension representation of a patient's jaw, virtual placement of one or more implants and virtual testing prior to manufacture. Dental professionals may access the portal on a subscription or non-subscription basis.
DRILL GUIDE
Apparatus is provided for use with a dental handpiece, a drill bit, an oral surgical guide, and a bushing disposed in the oral surgical guide. The apparatus includes a rigid guide-sleeve having a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end of the guide-sleeve is removably couplable to a distal end of the dental handpiece, such that a distal outer surface of the guide-sleeve and a drill bit coupled to the distal end of the dental handpiece are coaxial along a central longitudinal axis of the drill bit. The distal end of the guide-sleeve is sized and shaped to be slidably couplable with the bushing, such that upon the guide-sleeve being advanced into the bushing the dental handpiece is forced to align the central longitudinal axis of the drill bit to be coaxial with a central longitudinal axis of the bushing.
DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A dental implant whereby an osteotomy cavity is formed in jawbone and then a base member of the implant is positioned into the cavity. The base member serves as a platform to secure an abutment member of the implant that in turn receives a dental restoration, such as a crown or denture.
Assembly comprising a component and an axial limit stop device intended to be placed in a bore of said component
Assembly including a component and a one-piece axial limit stop device intended to be placed in a bore of said component in order to retain an element therein, including an annular ring with symmetry of revolution about a central axis (I-I), and including at least one angular portion rigidly connected to the annular ring, developing in an arc between a first end, joined to the distal end of the annular ring, and a second, free end. The angular portion is in part movable from its first end, in a transverse plane perpendicular to the central axis (I-I), between a retracted position and at least one protruding position, being elastically returned permanently to the protruding position. In the retracted position, the angular portion is included within the volume of a cylinder continuing the outer cylindrical surface of the annular ring. In the protruding position, the free end of the angular portion extends radially beyond the volume of the cylinder continuing the outer cylindrical surface of the annular ring. The component bore has a specific inner geometry allowing the axial limit stop device to be easily attached and reliably fixed, while at the same time allowing easy detachment and extraction of the axial limit stop device in order to permit the removal of the element in the event of the latter sustaining damage.
Method for manufacturing a template to adapt the shape of a bone defect in a jaw to a bone superstructure
A method is provided for manufacturing a template, whereby a digital or physical model of the shape of at least a part of the jaw is generated. A desired shape for the jaw bone for positioning a bone superstructure is compared to the model and a bone part of the jaw bone is identified, which bone part is to be removed in order to approach the desired shape. A guide surface is provided on the template to guide a milling element in order to remove the identified bone part. A bone superstructure is also described.
DRILLING JIG AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A drilling jig for drilling a drill hole into a jaw of a patient for a medical tooth implant. The drilling jig includes a prosthesis adapted to at least one of teeth and the jaw of the patient and a drilling model. The prosthesis has a bipartite design and includes an individualized part adapted to the teeth, and a standardized plate part with at least two reference markers suitable to provide reference points in digital images of the prosthesis and a first coupling part which couples the drilling model to the prosthesis. The drilling model is a standardized part which includes a drill channel adapted to the medical tooth implant, and a second coupling part adaptable to the prosthesis so that the prosthesis and the drilling model are connectable with each other through the first and second coupling parts.
AXIAL STOP GAUGE AND JIG GUIDE FOR SURGICAL DRILL
A surgical tool assembly for forming holes in bone at precise locations and to controlled depths. The drilling tool has a leading apical tip and a shank. The shank includes an annular groove at a predetermined distance from the apical tip. An adjustable stop gauge is coupled to the shank. The stop gauge includes an indexing adapter which telescopically supports a tubular collar. The collar includes an integrated impeller that accentuates irrigation of the treatment site during surgical procedures. The adjustable stop gauge may be used in combination with a guided surgery jig. The jig includes a guide bushing having a generally semi-cylindrical alignment valley adapted to receive the spinning collar of the stop gauge. The alignment valley includes an elevated internal abutment step having a semi-annular surface adapted to engage the collar when the apical tip reaches a predetermined penetration depth in the bone.
Surgery Guiding Bone Plate
A surgery guiding bone plate comprises a guiding bone plate. The guiding bone plate comprises a first bone plate and a second bone plate, wherein a guiding groove is formed between the first bone plate and the second bone plate. The surgery guiding bone plate also comprises a fixing and clamping device connected to the first bone plate and the second bone plate. The fixing and clamping device can clamp and fix a flap opening-up instrument, and can guide a doctor to a preset cutting position and a drilling position by means of the guiding bone plate, so as to improve the precision of surgery positioning.
