Tissue borne stackable foundation guide and method of making and using same
A tissue borne stackable foundation guide is provided. The foundation guide may include a main body; first connectors formed on and spaced about an outer surface of the main body; one or more ports spaced about the main body and forming a passage therethrough; and protrusions formed on an inner surface of the main body and extending in a generally perpendicular direction therefrom.
Dental bone foundation guide with palatal or lingual side gap and freehand surgical guide
A first guide member includes a horizontal body portion and a pair of upright portions. The horizontal body portion has an arcuate configuration and includes a first horizontal surface, a front surface, a rear surface, and a second horizontal surface. The first horizontal surface is flat. The first upright body portion includes a first inwardly extending portion. A first engagement surface of the first inwardly extending portion is configured to rest on a ridge of the alveolar arch of the patient. The second upright body portion includes a second inwardly extending portion. A second engagement surface of the second inwardly extending portion is configured to rest on a ridge of the alveolar arch of the patient. The first guide member lacks a component configured to extend along a lingual or palatal side of the alveolar arch of the patient.
ARCH FIXATOR
An apparatus for providing a stable reference and mounting point within a patient's jaw is disclosed. In one embodiment, such an apparatus includes a dental appliance for affixing within a jaw of a patient. The dental appliance is sized and shaped to substantially reside within an arch created by an alveolar ridge of the jaw. The dental appliance provides a mounting site for one or more of a tracking mechanism of a surgical robot, fiducial markers used to image the jaw, and an arch of prosthetic teeth. The dental appliance may be designed for either the maxilla or mandible of the jaw and may be designed to make at least three points of contact with the jaw to provide stability thereto. In certain embodiments, the dental appliance is affixed to the patient's jaw with at least one screw such as a single palatal screw. A corresponding method is also disclosed.
Splint device for guided surgical robot
A splint device for guided robotic surgery, includes an arcuate splint body having first and second ends and opposing concave and convex surfaces. The splint body defines a plurality of holes spaced apart between the first and second ends, with each hole extending between the concave and convex surfaces. A tracking portion is engaged with the convex surface of the splint body between the first and second ends such that at least one of the holes is disposed between the tracking portion and each of the first and second ends. The tracking portion extends outwardly from the convex surface and has a kinematic mount engaged therewith.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SPLINT OR SURGICAL GUIDE FOR THE IMPLANTATION OF AT LEAST ONE DENTAL IMPLANT
A method for manufacturing a splint or surgical guide for the implantation of at least one dental implant, relating to a part of a guided oral surgery process by which at least one implant is placed or implanted in a patient's jaw to replace the function of one or more natural teeth. The manufacturing method is implemented by a computer program. The object is to improve the implant placement process in an optimal and minimally invasive, as well as more simplified way.
Universal keyless guided surgery system
A depth stop for a drilling tool to form a hole of predetermined depth. The depth stop includes an interface portion that couples directly to the shank of the osteotome via interlocking spur and groove features. The interface has a cap flange and a tapered skirt. The underside of the cap flange establishes a reference surface for a tubular key that slides onto the tapered skirt and is held there by friction. The skirt is formed with a relief directly under the cap flange to facilitate haptic confirmation of proper connection. Elongated irrigation windows in the key expose a domed transition on the osteotome, thereby facilitating irrigation. The depth stop can be used, optionally, with an alignment jig designed with a precision guide bushing. The guide bushing is semi-cylindrical and terminates with an internal abutment step against which the lower end of the key engages at full depth.
AUGMENTED REALITY DENTAL SURGERY
Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to augmented reality (AR) assisted surgery. A system comprises a spatial virtual surgical treatment plan (SVSTP) for mixed or virtual reality; multiple AR interfaces (ARIs), each ARI configured to overlay the SVSTP onto a surgical site, wherein the ARIs are positioned at different angles to provide an unobstructed view of the surgical site and reduce parallax and occlusion errors during surgery, wherein the ARIs are configured to exchange coordinate and orientation information with each other such that the SVSTP viewed from each ARI is overlaid upon the surgical site and superimposed with each other to guide a surgical instrument.
Inter Dental Implant
A multi-piece dental prosthesis system is provided. The system includes an implant which can be implanted into a bone of the patient, an abutment removably connected to the implant by a prosthetic screw, and a ti-base removably connected to the abutment. The system may be used to hold a crown, denture, or partial denture in place.
Equipment for treatment of a person
It is provided an equipment for treatment of a person, wherein the equipment is configured to achieve a target denture geometry characterized by a target denture plane (3), the target denture plane lying parallel to an internal ear line (11) through a left internal ear point (7) and a right internal ear point (9) of the person. Further, a manufacturing method is provided.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECOMMENDING VIRTUAL ABUTMENT FOR DESIGNING SURGICAL GUIDE
A method for recommending a virtual abutment for designing a surgical guide according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps in which: a design device arranges a virtual crown in dental image data; a virtual implant body is designed according to the arrangement of the virtual crown; when the virtual abutment is set as a patient-customized abutment, at least one of the outer length of a gum part of the patient-customized abutment, the outer shape of the gum part, the diameter of the patient-customized abutment, or the crown insertion height (abutment height, A/H) value of the patient-customized abutment is determined on the basis of the virtual crown and virtual implant body; and an abutment that matches the patient-customized abutment is searched for in a pre-stored abutment library on the basis of the determination.
