Precision dental implant system
The present dental implant, whether tapered or cylindrical, is cannulated, to allow placement over a slender post pre-embedded into the host bone. The post is a rigid, not a flexible, construct that can be placed accurately, as to position and angle, in the jawbone. With the post in the correct position, the implant is then installed directly over the temporarily anchored post, and after tightening of the implant by rotation the post is removed.
Therapeutic tooth bud ablation
A system including a sensored ablation probe tip and a virtual stent, said sensored ablation probe tip for use in a tooth bud ablation procedure that results in tooth agenesis, said sensored ablation probe tip for use with an ablation probe unit. A system including a sensored ablation probe tip and a stent, said sensored ablation probe tip for use in a tooth bud ablation procedure that results in tooth agenesis, said sensored ablation probe tip for use with an ablation probe unit.
Bone anchor for an upper or lower jaw with a corresponding drilling template
Bone anchor for an upper or lower jaw and a corresponding drilling template for making drill holes in the jaw. The drilling template contains an anchor plate and a connecting element whose shape and dimensions are substantially the same as those of the anchor plate and the connecting element of the bone anchor. A drill guide is provided adjacent to recesses on the drilling template that allows a drill to be appropriately guided in order to make drill holes in the jaw.
Surgical guide with mating connectors
A dental implant surgical guide assembly includes a first arcuate guide defining sockets and a second arcuate guide having protrusions. The protrusions are mated to the sockets and the protrusions are longitudinally aligned with the sockets. The surgical guide assembly has a secure, close-to friction-fit with mating connectors having a particular geometry, simplifying the overall guide design.
Temporary dental prosthesis for use in developing final dental prosthesis
A method of manufacturing a permanent prosthesis for attachment to a dental implant installed in a mouth of a patient includes scanning a patient specific temporary prosthesis (PSTP) to obtain scan data. The PSTP is attached to the dental implant in the mouth of the patient. Gingival tissue surrounding the PSTP is permitted to heal in the mouth of the patient. In response to aesthetics of the healed gingival tissue surrounding the PSTP in the mouth of the patient not being acceptable, the PSTP is physically modified by (i) removing material from the PSTP, (ii) adding material to the PSTP, or (iii) both. The modified PSTP is scanned and a permanent prosthesis is fabricated as a replica of the modified PSTP using scan data generated from the scan of the modified PSTP.
ROBOTIC DEVICE FOR DENTAL SURGERY
A robotic system includes a base, a grounding arm, a working arm, and one or more sensors. The grounding arm extends from the base and is configured to be coupled to a fixed structure within the mouth of the patient for establishing an origin for the robotic system. The working arm extends from the base and is configured to be coupled with one or more tool for use during an installation of a dental implant in the mouth. The one or more sensors are for monitoring positions of the grounding arm and/or the working arm and to generate positional data that is used to create a post-operative virtual three-dimensional model of at least a portion of the mouth of the patient.
Photocurable resin composition for surgical guide and surgical guide made therefrom and method for manufacturing same
One aspect of the present invention provides a photocurable resin composition for a surgical guide, which comprises 20 to 50 parts by weight of (meth)acrylate-based urethane copolymer; 40 to 70 parts by weight of a first (meth)acrylate-based monomer; 4 to 9 parts by weight of a second (meth)acrylate-based monomer; 1 to 4 parts by weight of a photoinitiator; and 0.005 to 1 parts by weight of a UV absorber, a surgical guide manufactured therefrom, and a method for manufacturing the same.
