The present invention relates to a hand operated dental instrument that allows a user to manually operate tool bits that are ordinarily operated by a power operated tool. Then invention includes a handle that carries a shaft; a bore-hole extending through at least a portion of the shaft for receiving a tool bit; an elevated stop disposed in the bore-hole for engaging at least a portion of a tool bit that is inserted into the bore-hole; a securing ring receiving slot disposed in the shaft and is in fluid communication with the bore-hole; and a securing ring that when placed in the securing ring receiving slot presses at least a portion of the tool bit towards the elevated stop so that when the shaft is rotated, the tool bit rotates.

A combination includes a dental handpiece and a prophy angle. The dental handpiece includes a nosecone threadably connected to the dental handpiece. The prophy angle includes a proximal body that matingly attaches to the nosecone. A plurality of elongated torque members are formed on each of the prophy angle proximal body and the nosecone. Each of the torque members is a male torque member or a female torque member and each male torque member formed on one of the prophy angle proximal body and the nosecone matingly couples with a female torque member formed on the other of the nosecone and the prophy angle proximal body. The prophy angle, including the plurality of elongated torque members formed on the prophy angle, is formed to also be attachable to a known standard doriot-style nosecone. A vibration-side housing is attached to a tip of a handle-side housing, and a motor in which a plate cam is attached to a rotating shaft is housed. A vibration tube mounting opening opens at distal end part of the vibration-side housing, and a vibration tube is mounted thereon. The vibration tube is provided to vibrate in a forward-backward direction while urged in the plate cam direction via a spring with respect to the vibration-side housing. The vibration tube contacts with the plate cam via a roller at a rear end part. A reamer mounting opening opens at a tip of the vibration tube, and receives and tightly holds an insertion part of the reamer. The reamer including the bendable needle part is attachable/detachable to the vibration-side housing.

A dental prophylactic treatment device having: a prophylactic contra-angle handpiece having a handle part extending along a longitudinal axis, a head part adjoining the handle part, a tool holder rotatably disposed in the head part and extending along an axis of rotation, wherein the longitudinal axis of the handle part and the axis of rotation of the head part are disposed at an angle to one another, and a dental tool having a tool shaft and a prophylactic treatment section, wherein the tool shaft extends from a handpiece end of the dental tool over a length up to the prophylactic treatment section, wherein at least a section of the tool shaft is detachably received in the tool holder, so that the dental tool together with the tool holder can be rotated about the axis of rotation, and wherein the length of the tool shaft is a maximum of 10.0 mm.

A fixing structure of a dental handpiece has a transmission assembly for connecting a handpiece head, a positioning sleeve sleeved onto the transmission assembly and having a positioning member thereon, and a casing composed of a front casing and a rear casing. The front casing is sleeved onto the positioning sleeve. The rear casing is detachably connected to one end of the front casing. The front casing is provided with a push member. The push member is inserted inwardly to lean against the positioning member for the positioning member to be tightly pressed against an outer circumferential surface of the transmission assembly so that the front casing, the positioning sleeve and the transmission assembly are fixed and connected together.

A dental prophylactic treatment device having: a prophylactic contra-angle handpiece having a handle part extending along a longitudinal axis, a head part adjoining the handle part, a tool holder rotatably disposed in the head part and extending along an axis of rotation, wherein the longitudinal axis of the handle part and the axis of rotation of the head part are disposed at an angle to one another, and a dental tool having a tool shaft and a prophylactic treatment section, wherein the tool shaft extends from a handpiece end of the dental tool over a length up to the prophylactic treatment section, wherein at least a section of the tool shaft is detachably received in the tool holder, so that the dental tool together with the tool holder can be rotated about the axis of rotation, and wherein the length of the tool shaft is a maximum of 10.0 mm.

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of medical appliances, and provides a dental handpiece and a head thereof, and a root canal preparation machine. The head of the dental handpiece comprises a head housing; a movement cavity is provided in the head housing; a rotatable movement and a driving gear are provided in the movement cavity; the driving gear is sleeved on one end of the movement, and the movement can move along the axial direction of the driving gear; a reciprocating driving mechanism is further provided in the movement cavity, and the reciprocating driving mechanism is used for driving the movement to perform reciprocating movement along its own axis. Thus, when the dental handpiece of the present disclosure is used for root canal treatment, a root canal file is driven to perform reciprocating movement along its own axis by means of the reciprocating driving mechanism, and manual lifting is no longer required, thereby improving the treatment efficiency of root canal enlargement, reducing the requirements for the patient's cavity space, also facilitating the operation of root canal enlargement treatment, and improving the patient's experience of treatment.

In the case of a dental hand instrument having a grip sleeve and also a head housing arranged at the front end of the grip sleeve for receiving or holding a treatment instrument, the head housing has a substantially cylindrical hollow space which is connected by way of at least one connecting bore to a connection region pointing to the grip sleeve, wherein the connecting bore is coupled, at its end facing the grip sleeve, to a media line extending through the grip sleeve, and wherein the inner wall region of the head housing enclosing the hollow space has a recess into which the connecting bore opens.
