CARTRIDGE, A PISTON AND A SYRINGE COMPRISING THE CARTRIDGE AND THE PISTON
A cartridge and a piston for storing and dispensing a two-component dental material. The cartridge and the piston have a cross-section which substantially correspond to a D-shape in which the perimeter of the D-shape is defined by a plurality of circle segments only. At least two of the circle segments are based on different radii. The invention helps maximizing the time period over which a dental material can be stored in the compartment.

MICRO APPLICATOR FOR USE WITH DENTAL ADHESIVES
The invention relates to a dental micro-applicator (1) for applying a liquid or paste in a cavity of a natural tooth, having a hollow sleeve-like application head (2) with a distal (2.2) and a proximal region (2.1) and with an application region (5.1) at the front face of the proximal region (2.1) of the application head (2), a punching spike (4), the tip of which is oriented toward distal, being arranged in the hollow sleeve-like application head (2) in the proximal region (2.1), and an opening (7) being formed at the front face of the proximal region (2.1) for passage of a liquid or paste to be applied, a micro-container (3) being inserted, in particular slid in or turned in, from distal into the hollow sleeve-like application head (2), the outer shape of which being formed in fit to the inner shape of the application head (2), and the micro-container (3) having an internal space (10) to receive the liquid or paste to be applied. Moreover, the micro-container is closed at its distal side (9) and at its proximal front face (6).

DEVICE FOR MIXING A BONE CEMENT WITH HOLLOW SPACE FOR MONOMER TRANSFER
One aspect relates to a device for the production of a bone cement dough from a monomer liquid and a cement powder comprising a cartridge with an internal space; a cartridge head with a dispensing opening; a conveying plunger that is supported in the internal space of the cartridge such that it is pushable in the direction of the dispensing opening; a dispensing plunger between the dispensing opening and the conveying plunger that is supported in the internal space of the cartridge such that it is pushable in the direction of the dispensing opening; a first hollow space, in which the cement powder is arranged; a second hollow space that is bordered by the dispensing plunger and the conveying plunger; a rear-side part of the internal space of the cartridge; and a conducting means that connects the second hollow space to the rear-side part of the internal space of the cartridge such as to bypass the conveying plunger and be permeable to the monomer liquid. The conducting means can be closed by the conveying plunger with respect to the second hollow space by shifting the conveying plunger in the direction of the dispensing plunger, and a feedthrough in the dispensing plunger that connects the first hollow space and the second hollow space such as to be permeable to the monomer liquid.
A STORAGE, MIXING AND DISPENSING DEVICE
A device for storing first and second ingredient materials, mixing the ingredient materials to form an adhesive material and dispensing the adhesive material. The device comprises: a nozzle for dispensing the third material; a first container adapted to store a first ingredient material and mix the first ingredient material with a second ingredient material; a second container disposed within the first container, and moveable between a storage position in which a second ingredient material is stored in the second container and a mixing position in which the second ingredient material is moved to the first container; a mixer that longitudinally extends into the first and second containers; a handle alternatively coupled to the mixer to mix the first and second ingredient materials or to the second container to move the second container to a dispensing position to dispense the third material. During use, the first container is rotated causing the second container to move relative to the first container and the second material to flow into the first container for mixing. After mixing, the handle is uncoupled from the mixer and coupled to the second container to dispense the third material from the nozzle. Embodiments are also described herein for a method of making the device and a method of using the device.
Capsule for mixing and dispensing a dental material
A capsule for mixing and dispensing a dental material which has a capsule body and a cavity extending into the capsule body. The cavity is closed by a liquid container. The liquid container has a cartridge forming a channel that extends between a front opening and a rear opening of the cartridge. Further the cartridge has a front foil closing the front opening and a rear foil closing the rear opening. The front foil is attached at the cartridge along a closed path circumferentially around the front opening. The front foil and the cartridge in at least a partial area of the circumferential path are separably sealed with each other, thus defining an openable valve through that path. The capsule has further a piston received in the channel of the cartridge and arranged such that the liquid is enclosed in the cartridge between the front foil and the piston. The capsule facilitates the preparation of a two-component dental material.
