Temperature-responsive degradable hydrogels
A polymer composition can include an aqueous vehicle and a temperature-responsive degradable polymer having a polymer including a LCST-imparting unit and a lactone-bearing unit including a pendent lactone group. The number of LCST-imparting units is greater than the number of lactone-bearing units. The temperature-responsive degradable polymer has an initial lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of 37° C. or below. The polymer composition can have a pH lower than 7.
Two-component mixing capsule, in particular for dental purposes
The disclosure relates to a two-component mixing capsule for intake and for mixing of two compositions with a capsule housing having a discharge spout at its front end, wherein the mixing capsule comprises a first mixing chamber and a second mixing chamber, wherein the two mixing chambers may be separated from each other for storage or for transport, by the first mixing chamber being rotatable into a first position in which the first mixing chamber is separated from mixing chamber, by a rotatably mounted handhold element, the rotational axis of which is approximately perpendicularly arranged to the longitudinal axis of the mixing capsule. The two mixing chambers form a common mixing chamber by rotating the first mixing chamber into a second position in which the central axes of the first and second mixing chamber are substantially coaxially arranged, wherein the composition may be discharged after mixing by attaching a squeezing piston.

Cartridge, a piston and a syringe comprising the cartridge and the piston
A cartridge and a piston for storing and dispensing a two-component dental material. The cartridge and the piston have a cross-section which substantially correspond to a D-shape in which the perimeter of the D-shape is defined by a plurality of circle segments only. At least two of the circle segments are based on different radii. The invention helps maximizing the time period over which a dental material can be stored in the compartment.

Self-resealing magnet closure
A syringe for dispensing a flowable material. The syringe has a cartridge with a cartridge front end and at least a first dispensing nozzle arranged at the cartridge front end. The syringe further has closure for openably closing the first dispensing nozzle. The closure includes a cap and at least a first seal. The cap is telescopically placeable on the cartridge front end. The closure or the cartridge has a first magnet for establishing a magnetic attraction between the closure and the cartridge. In a situation in which the closure is placed on the cartridge front end, the closure and the cartridge can be positioned in a sealing position in which the first seal spaces the cap and the cartridge front end away from each other against a magnetic attraction that urges the cap and the cartridge toward each other.
