ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Devices, systems, and methods for orthodontic treatment planning and orthodontic treatment are disclosed herein. Various embodiments of the present technology, for example, are directed to a method of obtaining data characterizing movements of a patient's teeth from original positions to desired, final positions. In some embodiments, the method can include identifying one or more components of the movements, evaluating the movements, and/or modifying the movements. A method in accordance with several embodiments of the present technology can comprise obtaining an orthodontic treatment plan, which can include one or more suggested interventions to accomplish the tooth movements, a design of such intervention(s), and/or other useful information regarding the orthodontic treatment. In some embodiments, a method of the present technology comprises evaluating an orthodontic treatment during and/or after implementation of the treatment, which can include obtaining data characterizing current positions of the patient's teeth. Based on the evaluation, the method can include obtaining another orthodontic treatment plan and movement data characterizing movements of a patient's teeth from their current positions to desired, final positions.
Orthodontic retention components, kit and system
An orthodontic retention system includes a fixed component that remains on teeth and a component that attaches to this fixed component. The fixed component and the component have mating or interlocking parts. The component that mates with the fixed component can be removable. The component that mates with the fixed component can be adjustable. The retention system also can include magnetic retention components to retain the removable component with respect to one or more teeth. The retention system also can include an element that replaces as tooth.
Orthodontic appliance and pliers for orthodontics
An orthodontic appliance is provided and includes: a base member fixed to two or more screws implanted in a vicinity of median palatine suture of a palate bone; an arm-shaped arm member having a first connecting portion connected to the base member and a second connecting portion located in a vicinity of palatal side of a tooth; and a traction member that is made of an elastic wire material and pulls a tooth as the traction target. The traction member has a traction base portion, a traction fixation portion, and a traction force generation portion. The traction fixation portion has a bent portion in which the wire material extending along dentition is plastically deformed and bent toward a tooth root side. The bent portion is hooked on a protruding portion protruding to a palate side in a bracket.
FLEXIBLE ORTHODONTIC DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
An orthodontic device is disclosed comprising a head configured to be coupled to a tooth, the head having a first geometric configuration such that actuation of the head facilitates adjustment of the tooth, a neck adjacent the head to facilitate coupling of the head to the tooth, the neck having a second geometric configuration, the neck operable to transfer a force exerted on the head to the tooth and at least one of the neck and the head comprising a flexible material. In some embodiments, the orthodontic device further comprises a member operable to engage the head such that actuation of the head facilitates physical adjustment of the tooth and the member comprises an aligner and the aligner further comprises at least one well configured to engage the head.
ORTHODONTIC AUXILIARY AND CONNECTOR WITH MODIFIABLE ACTIVATION PARAMETERS
The present disclosure provides intra-oral devices for repositioning the relationship between upper and lower dental arches. The devices are attached to appliances on molar teeth of each arch and can be reactivated without removal or replacement of substantial components of the device.
REMOVABLE ORTHODONTIC CORRECTION DEVICE
A removable orthodontic correction device includes a first correction unit, a second correction unit, and several elastic members. The first correction unit is configured to be removably worn on the anterior teeth of the maxillary or mandibular dental arch of a patient and has several first connection parts formed thereon. The second correction unit is configured to be removably worn on the posterior teeth of the same maxillary or mandibular dental arch of the patient and has several second connection parts formed thereon. The elastic members couple the first connection parts to the second connection parts. Thus, the elastic force of the elastic members drives the first correction unit to retract toward the second correction unit, to achieve en masse retraction and intrusion of the anterior teeth during space closure in the treatment of dental protrusion.
DENTAL APPLIANCES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
An orthodontic appliance and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the appliance comprises an anchor configured to be positioned adjacent a patient's teeth, and an arm extending away from and coupled to the anchor. The arm can include a first end portion at the anchor and a second end portion configured to be coupled to a securing member adhered to a tooth of the patient. The second end portion can include a first region and a second region extending from the first region at an angle. When the appliance is positioned adjacent the patient's teeth and secured to the securing member, the first and second regions may inhibit the second end portion from translating and/or rotating relative to the securing member.
ORTHODONTIC BRACKET BONDING GUIDE, INSERTION TOOL AND METHOD
A bracket bonding guide, insertion tool and method to place orthodontic brackets to predetermined positions and orientations. Indirect bonding trays typically are made to fit specific brackets of specific shapes and parameters. Design software has to include bracket CAD files in order to work for specific brands. This invention presented a bonding guide with guiding features and insertion tools with alignment mechanism and guiding features that ensure the brackets will be placed onto right positions regardless the actual shape and dimensions of the brackets.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A FITTING DEVICE FOR AN ORTHODONTIC APPARATUS
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a fitting device for an orthodontic apparatus, including: the following steps: making a first image of a row of teeth in an initial position, and a second image of the orthodontic apparatus; the apparatus including two attachment elements connected by a bridge, each attachment element capable of being connected to a tooth; making a third image of the orthodontic apparatus joined to the teeth in the initial position; then making a fourth image of the fitting device, including a contact surface capable of being joined to the teeth; two complementary first cavities of the attachment elements; and a second cavity capable of receiving the bridge; then additively manufacturing the fitting device from the fourth image.
