Methods for fabrication of orthodontic appliances and orthodontic appliances made thereby
A method of manufacturing an orthodontic appliance includes plating a first pattern of a material on a substrate to define a layer. Repeating plating of the first material one or more times forms an additional pattern. A layered structure is built up and forms a portion of the orthodontic appliance. A pattern of a second material different from a first material may be plated on the substrate or on a pattern of the first material. The material may be a sacrificial material that may be later removed. The orthodontic appliance may be an archwire or a self-ligating orthodontic bracket having one or more layered structures formed by plating patterns of the material. Plating may include plating patterns of materials so as to form a movable member in place relative to a bracket body.
Orthodontic band attachment device
An orthodontic band attachment device used for an orthodontic procedure is described. The device includes a base having a tooth interfacing surface and an outer base surface. The device further includes a button support column attached to the outer base surface, and a button structure attached to the button support column such that an inner button surface is separated from the outer base surface by a button support column height. The device further includes a hook arm attachment member attached to the base at a substantially peripheral location and a hook arm comprising one or more band attachment structures arranged along a hook arm length. The hook arm attachment member is oriented such that a hook arm outer surface is substantially coplanar with an outer button surface and an orthodontic band is able to pass between the hook arm attachment member and the button structure.

ORTHODONTIC METHODS AND DEVICES
Disclosed is an orthodontic anchor unit to be fixed to a tooth, the unit including a mounting portion, the mounting portion having a length in the mesial-distal direction, a height in the occlusal-gingival direction, a thickness in the buccal-lingual direction and a rear surface fixable to the tooth; a projection extending transversely from the mounting portion in the buccal direction, the projection and the mounting portion defining a longitudinal cavity extending in the mesial-distal direction along a cavity axis, wherein the cavity is provided with an opening and configured to receive and locate an elongate splinting member that extends longitudinally into the cavity through the opening.
DENTAL APPLIANCES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
An orthodontic appliance and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the appliance comprises an anchor configured to be positioned adjacent a patient's teeth, and an arm extending away from and coupled to the anchor. The arm can include a first end portion at the anchor and a second end portion configured to be coupled to a securing member adhered to a tooth of the patient. The second end portion can include a first region and a second region extending from the first region at an angle. When the appliance is positioned adjacent the patient's teeth and secured to the securing member, the first and second regions may inhibit the second end portion from translating and/or rotating relative to the securing member.

ATTACHMENTS FOR TOOTH MOVEMENTS
Attachments for tooth movements are described herein where the orthodontic attachments may be formed by obtaining a digital model of a dentition of a subject and digitally placing one or more attachments upon the digital model for imparting one or more preselected movements to the dentition. A finite element model may be formed with one or more forces applied to the dentition and an initial stress map may be created to impart upon the dentition based on the finite element model. A subsequent stress map may be predicted using, e.g., machine learning, to achieve the one or more preselected movements.
Hamad bi-slot orthodontic bracket
Orthodontic braces comprising rotatable versatile brackets are provided. Each rotatable bracket has two different slot sizes, and rotation of the whole bracket before its bonding to the tooth brings one or the other of the slot sizes into horizontal alignment so that different archwires corresponding to the selected size can be accommodated.

BRACKET IDENTIFICATION MARKING SYSTEM
Orthodontic brackets and methods for the manufacture of orthodontic brackets including identification marks indicating placement, thickness, or torque.
