Orthodontic appliance
An orthodontic appliance has a post attached to a first upper tooth, and a button with a recess attached to a second upper tooth. An elongated arm has an eye at one end through which the post is inserted to allow the elongated arm to rotate about the post, and a tip at the other end for removable insertion into the recess of the button. The length of the elongated arm is selectable to maintain a desired spacing between the first and second upper teeth (e.g., by cutting the tip of the elongated arm). An elastic extends from either the post or button to an attachment point on the patient's lower dental arch to exert a force between the patient's maxilla and mandible.
DENTAL ARCH AND AIRWAY EXPANDER DEVICE AND METHOD
An oral appliance that attaches to molars or bicuspids and that combines the capability for side-to-side and front-to-back expansion capability in one unite as a self-stopping mechanism. Further, this embodiment can be activated to compress or expand and be deactivated in two planes of side-to-side or front-to-back, along three different arms/bridges respectively. This is to say that one arm can compress front-to-back while the other arm expands, the jaw/teeth front-to-back, simultaneously). With proper arrangements and anchorage preparation the device shown and described can move front teeth forward or backward or back teeth forward or backward independently on either side of the mouth.

Apparatus for Applying Corrective Forces to Shape Palate
An orthodontic apparatus for installation in a patient's mouth is disclosed. The orthodontic apparatus includes a first extension wire, a second extension wire, and a palatal archwire. Each of the first and second extension wires includes a proximal portion and a distal portion. The proximal and distal portions and the palatal archwire are manipulatable to apply corrective buccal, labial, and transverse forces on the patient's dento-alveolar complex (DAC), to correct the shape of the patient's palate.

MILL BLANKS BASED ON A POLYMERIZED, FRACTURE-TOUGH PROSTHESIS MATERIAL
The subject matter of the invention is a three-dimensional moulded body, in particular a milling blank, made of a polymerisable prosthetic material, which is suitable for milling machining by means of CNC and/or CAD/CAM, having a fracture toughness of greater than or equal to 1.9 Mpa.Math.m.sup.1/2 and a fracture work of greater than or equal to 900 J/m.sup.2. The milling blank preferably comprises core-shell particles modified by an elastic phase and is optionally based on a content of urethane (meth)acrylate polymerised into the polymer. Moreover, a subject matter of the invention is the use of the milling blanks for the production of at least parts of dental prosthetic parts, such as a prosthesis, artificial teeth, bridges, or of orthodontic appliances and instruments in medical field.

Orthodontic treatment system
A computer system and computerized method in which orthodontic treatment, including midcourse correction of one or more teeth in a dental arch fitted with a dental appliance, comprises a virtual simulation of a dental arch fitted with a virtual dental appliance in which each of the one or more teeth can be discretely moved from an initial position to a final position allowing modification of the fitted dental appliance by computerized selection of one or more brackets and production of a bonding tray adapted to hold the selected brackets in correspondence to determined bracket bonding locations in the virtual simulation of dental arch.
