Orthodontic Treatment System
A computer system and computerized method in which orthodontic treatment, including midcourse correction of one or more teeth in a dental arch fitted with a dental appliance, comprises a virtual simulation of a dental arch fitted with a virtual dental appliance in which each of the one or more teeth can be discretely moved from an initial position to a final position allowing modification of the fitted dental appliance by computerized selection of one or more brackets and production of a bonding tray adapted to hold the selected brackets in correspondence to determined bracket bonding locations in the virtual simulation of dental arch.
Mill blanks based on a polymerized, fracture-tough prosthesis material
The subject matter of the invention is a three-dimensional molded body, in particular a milling blank, made of a polymerizable prosthetic material, which is suitable for milling machining by means of CNC and/or CAD/CAM, having a fracture toughness of greater than or equal to 1.9 Mpa.Math.m.sup.1/2 and a fracture work of greater than or equal to 900 J/m.sup.2. The milling blank preferably comprises core-shell particles modified by an elastic phase and is optionally based on a content of urethane (meth)acrylate polymerized into the polymer. Moreover, a subject matter of the invention is the use of the milling blanks for the production of at least parts of dental prosthetic parts, such as a prosthesis, artificial teeth, bridges, or of orthodontic appliances and instruments in medical field.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MOVING TEETH
The application provides a system for repositioning teeth from an initial tooth arrangement to a final tooth arrangement and methods of making and using the same. The system includes: a) at least two first appliances which are duplicate of each other having a geometry selected to reposition the teeth from the initial tooth arrangement to a first intermediate arrangement or the final tooth arrangement; b) one or more intermediate appliances having geometries selected to progressively reposition the teeth from the first intermediate arrangement to successive intermediate arrangements including a last intermediate tooth arrangement, each of the one or more intermediate appliances having at least one duplicate of itself; and c) at least two final appliances which are duplicate of each other having a geometry to progressively reposition the teeth from the initial tooth arrangement or the last intermediate arrangement to the final tooth arrangement.

Orthodontic archwire stop and methods of making and using same
An orthodontic appliance includes a portion made of a shape memory alloy having a base alloy composition of at least two different metallic elements and a treated region having an alloy composition that is depleted in at least one of the metallic elements. The base alloy may include a nickel titanium alloy (NiTi), a copper chromium nickel titanium alloy (CuCrNiTi), or a copper aluminum nickel (CuAlNi) alloy. The treated region may be depleted in at least one of copper, aluminum, nickel, and titanium relative to the base alloy composition by exposing the base alloy to a source of energy. The base alloy composition has a first austenitic finish temperature and the treated region has an austenitic finish temperature that may be different than the first austenitic finish temperature. The treated region may form a part of an archwire, a stop, a hook, a crown, a band, or an orthodontic bracket.

INVISIBLE DENTAL BRACE WITH PRESSURE-SENSITIVE SENSORS
The invention relates to an invisible dental brace with pressure-sensitive sensors, comprising: a brace body, at least one pressure-sensitive sensor, and/or a processor. The brace body is designed to receive at least one corresponding tooth of an orthodontic patient and reposition said at least one corresponding tooth from an initial position towards a target position according to a prescribed orthodontic treatment plan. Said at least one pressure-sensitive sensor is configured to generate a sensor signal related to the wearing time of the brace body and a force or pressure applied to said at least one corresponding tooth by the brace body. The sensor signal is then transmitted to a cloud database for further analysis or to the processor for processing to generate a performance of the brace body. Finally, the performance is transmitted to a cloud database for an orthodontic practitioner to modify the prescribed orthodontic treatment plan.

Dental appliance for constraining the tongue
A dental appliance includes an attachment mechanism suited to attach the appliance on the teeth of a patient's upper jaw. The appliance includes a constraining mechanism linked to the attachment mechanism, where the constraining mechanism is suited to limit the movement of a central zone of the tongue and allow the anterior and lateral edges of the patient's tongue to perform movements necessary for speech and swallowing.
