Orthodontic appliance including arch member
A method of forming an arch member comprising an arch member body and an arch member coupling integral with the body, comprising: providing a substrate comprising a resilient material; and removing a portion of the substrate to form the arch member. The arch member body including a cross-sectional geometry that varies along a length of the body. Also a method of designing an orthodontic appliance comprising: providing a proposed specification of the orthodontic appliance, wherein the orthodontic appliance comprises an arch member comprising an arch member body and an arch member coupling integral with the body, and a set of anchors, providing a first digital image representing a first dental arrangement associated with the orthodontic appliance; deriving a target digital image representing a target dental arrangement; revising the proposed specification of the orthodontic appliance based in part on the target digital image; and forming the orthodontic appliance based on the revised proposed specification.

Bracket
The invention relates to a bracket for correcting the position of a tooth, comprising a bracket base of a bracket body, which bracket base can be fastened to a tooth, and which bracket body has a slot, extending in the mesiodistal direction, and also a fourth slot portion that narrows by a predetermined amount (α) in a predetermined region, so as preferably to form a snug fit for an inserted archwire, wherein the fourth slot portion is designed running in the longitudinal direction substantially parallel to the bracket base.
ORTHODONTIC BRACKET WITH A BIASED LIGATING MEMBER
The disclosure relates to an orthodontic bracket including a ligating member mountable to a bracket body, the ligating member moveable between an open and closed position over an archwire slot. The orthodontic bracket includes a channel formed between the bracket body and the ligating member, and a resilient biasing member extending into the channel, the biasing member interacting with the ligating member to retain the ligating member in either the open or closed position.

Orthodontic device
An orthodontic device can include a bracket configured to support an orthodontic wire. The orthodontic device can include a locking assembly coupled to the bracket and switchable between a plurality of operational modes. The plurality of operational modes can comprise a first sliding mode in which the orthodontic wire is slidable relative to the bracket and a second locked mode in which the orthodontic wire is slidably locked relative to the bracket.
DENTAL APPLIANCES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present technology comprises methods of manufacturing an orthodontic appliance. For example, a method can include forming an orthodontic appliance in an intermediate configuration by a casting process. The method can further include securing the appliance to a shape forming fixture such that the appliance assumes a desired configuration. The shape forming fixture can comprise a gingiva portion including a surface having a shape corresponding at least in part to a gingiva of a patient and a securing portion carried by the gingiva portion and configured to releasably secure to a portion of the appliance. The method can further include setting a shape of the appliance while the appliance is secured to the shape forming fixture.
ORTHODONTIC APPARATUS FOR PLACING ELASTIC BAND OVER DENTAL BRACE
Orthodontic apparatus for placing elastic band over dental brace comprising a monolithic/unibody tool and a housing. The tool comprises an upper guide defining upper guide groove, a lower guide defining lower guide groove, a band interfacing surface, a hook portion defined below the band interfacing surface, a trunk portion and band storage post. The elastic band is operable to be received around the band interfacing surface and the hook portion. The lower guide groove allows for the elastic band to be operably released onto any one among multiple dental brace hooks. The upper guide allows for the elastic band to be operably received in the upper guide groove to enable the elastic band to be manoeuvred and released onto another of the dental brace hooks.
ORTHODONTIC DEVICE
An orthodontic device (10) comprising, a first opening (11) for receiving a first anchoring structure, a second opening (12) for receiving a second anchoring structure and a third opening (13, 14, 15) for receiving a third anchoring structure, the first, second, and third anchoring structures being attached in a mouth of a subject, and an intermediate structure (18) connecting the first, second and third openings, wherein one or more of the openings are stretchable, and wherein the intermediate structure and the openings are made from a creep resistant material.
