20180206943 · 2018-07-26 ·

An orthodontic post and pin assembly including a post structure, being slotted at its back end, for accommodating a pin therethrough, the post includes a further slot into which the wire of an orthodontic appliance may locate, so that when the post and pin assembly are connected onto the wire, and a hybrid screw is tighten within the post, the appliance may become affixed to the wire at the position of its tightening and securement. This eliminates the need for removal of the wire, when a different or different size orthodontic appliance needs to be installed.

Orthodontic bracket having a biased slide member
09956059 · 2018-05-01 · ·

An orthodontic bracket includes a bracket body, a slide member, and a resilient member. The slide member is slidable relative to the archwire slot. The resilient member is coupled to and is slidable with the slide member. The resilient member is configured to engage a first portion of the bracket body in the opened position and a second portion of the bracket body in the closed position. The second portion is different from the first portion. The resilient member imposes a biasing force on the slide member in the direction of movement toward the archwire slot when the slide member is in the closed position. The resilient member may be configured to impose a biasing force on the slide member in the direction away from the archwire slot when the slide member is at a position intermediate the opened and closed positions.

Programmable orthodontic indexing guide and bracket pin assembly and method of use
20180071057 · 2018-03-15 ·

The present invention is directed to indirect bonding orthodontic brackets to a patient's teeth. A geometric index pin is attached to the orthodontic bracket enabling the orthodontic bracket to be precisely held by a plastic tray. A computer program positions the index pin/bracket combination for a patient's teeth in a determined position and designs the tray to carry each bracket to the patient's tooth in its computer selected position. The index pin eliminates the necessity for the tray material to enclose the bracket which results in a dental tray one third the normal dental tray which saves tray material and reduces the print time of the tray. The ease of removal of the tray from the teeth after placement of the brackets is enhanced by clipping the index pins with a pin cutter.

TRACTION BRACKET, ORTHODONTIC SYSTEM AND ORTHODONTIC METHOD THEREFOR
20180055604 · 2018-03-01 ·

The present disclosure discloses a traction bracket, an orthodontic system, and an orthodontic method thereof. The traction bracket includes a traction component, a main body, a cover body and a connecting component, wherein a surface of the main body is provided with a main groove, the main body is provided with a traction hole, one end of the traction hole is opened at a surface of the main body to form an inlet of a cylindrical traction component, and another end of the traction hole is opened at the main groove of the main body to form an arrestment hole, the traction component matches and is connected to the traction hole, the main body is connected to the cover body via a connecting component, and the bottom surface of the cover body matches the surface of the main body and covers the main groove. The traction component of the traction bracket according to the present disclosure can be easily installed, and is equipped with bolt accessories in two specifications, i.e., a traction bolt and an arrestment bolt. The traction bolt can facilitate sliding of the bracket. When the traction bolt is replaced with an arrestment bolt, the movement of the bracket and the arch wire can be stopped, to strengthen anchorage, achieve removal of the clearance between the arch wire and the groove, and achieve the correction effect of accurate expression of the torque of the bracket.
