A coat with an integrated drag harness. The harness is a single strip of material, such as a flat webbing or rope that extends through a slit in the center of the back of the coat torso below the neck opening. Inside the torso, the strip is a yoke that follows a path that runs from the slit, around one arm hole, across the slit, around the other arm hole, and ending at the slit. The yoke is secured to the torso by stitching. The strip extends a length outside of the slit to form a strap that is at least is four feet long. Optionally, the end of the strap has a handle. Optionally, the strap is stored in a pocket in the back of the torso.

An outer garment suitable for use by a wheelchair occupant that may be put on or taken off by an individual without requiring an undue amount of assistance. In one example, the garment takes the form of a “full-front, half-back” coat that fits as a single piece over an individual's head. The two sections are permanently joined along shoulder seams around the neck, outer arms and cuff regions, so that the garment is completely in place when put over an individual's head. A suitable type of releasable attachment (e.g., zipper, hook-and-loop, snaps, and the like) is used secure the sleeves in place and join the front and back sections along the side seams.

Adjustable garments are provided that have one or more features to adjust the length of one or more dimensions of the garment to fit a growing child. For instance, an adjustable jacket can have a series of stitches that allow for the adjustment of the length of a sleeve. A permanent hem stitch and a temporary stitch on the sleeve are arranged and constructed in a particular way to allow for the sleeve to extend as a child grows. In another example, adjustable pants can have a plurality of snap fasteners on an interior surface of a leg to adjust the length of the leg. The snap fasteners are arranged and constructed in a particular way so that a snap fastener at the distal end of the leg can selectively connect to the remaining fasteners to shorten the length of the pant leg.

Adjustable garments are provided that have one or more features to adjust the length of one or more dimensions of the garment to fit a growing child. A multi-use article having a blanket having inward-facing and outward-facing sides and a cover mounted to the inward-facing side of the blanket. The cover may be worn by a wearer by being placed onto and covering at least a portion of a torso of the wearer and, when worn, to carry the blanket. A head opening permits a head of the wearer to extend out of the cover when the cover is placed onto the torso of the wearer. Arm openings allow arms of the wearer to extend out of the cover when the cover is placed onto the torso of the wearer. Shoulder contact portions are located adjacent opposing sides of the head opening. Each shoulder contact portion contacts a shoulder of the wearer when the cover is placed onto the torso of the wearer such that the cover is carried on the shoulders of the wearer.
