The present disclosure provides a dental implant configured to be inserted into a hole in jaw bone and to be at least partially situated in bone tissue when implanted. The dental implant includes a coronal implant region, the surface of which is at least partly covered by an oxide layer with an average thickness in the range from 60 nm to 170 nm and has an average arithmetical mean height Sa in the range from 0.1 m to 1.0 m.
