DENTAL IMPLANT
A dental implant is provided for supporting a dental prosthesis. The implant can comprise a body having an outer surface, a distal end, and a proximal end. The dental implant can include at least one thread located on at least a portion of the outer surface of the body. The thread can include a proximal flank and a distal flank. The thread can also include a face that extends between the proximal flank and the distal flank. Further, the dental implant can include a first helical groove formed on the face and/or a second helical groove formed on the body.
ANCHOR SCREW WITH CONDENSING ATTRIBUTES
An anchor to be screwed into a hole and self-lock therein with high initial stability. The anchor has an aggressively-threaded, self-tapping apical end. A central region of the anchor is formed with a plurality of helical flutes and intervening lands. Each land carries a condensing edge. The condensing edges are configured to apply a circumferentially sweeping compressive strain to the interior surface of the host material while the anchor is being screwed into position. A coronal end of the anchor includes a corking feature to mitigate mushrooming around the perimeter of the hole. A helical groove intersects the condensing edges and flutes. The helical groove has a variable pitch and a decreasing depth which functions to squeeze and displace trapped host material thereby enhancing stability and other benefits. In bone applications, the groove hosts material chips which promote and enhance healing.
Restoration dental implant system and method
An implant fixture is disclosed. The implant fixture contains an elongated shaft section, and a head section comprising a concavity along the head section's perimeter, wherein the concavity provides an area for bone growth therein to compensate for jawbone deterioration adjacent to the implant fixture due to craniofacial growth.
Dental implant
It is disclosed a dental implant (130; 230; 330) for promoting hone growth. The dental implant includes an elongated implant body having a coronal end portion (131; 231; 331) and an apical end portion (132; 232; 332), at least one external thread (140; 240; 340) and a flute arrangement having a depth. The flute arrangement has at least two helical flutes (150; 250; 350) that spiral in the general direction of said at least one external thread (140; 240; 340). The flutes (150; 250; 350) propagate with a greater lead than said at least one thread (140; 240 340). The flute arrangement is capable of scraping off and transferring bone debris in the coronal direction of the implant during insertion. It is also disclosed a method of using the dental implant and an implant system according to the present invention.
Dental implant with a sacrificial coronal portion
A dental implant is described and includes a threaded coronal portion having a top hollow part with a cavity and an opening in a top portion of the hollow part, wherein the top hollow part is defined by sacrificial walls of the coronal portion, wherein a width of the cavity and the opening allows insertion of a cutting element of a dental saw into the cavity.
ONE PIECE CUSTOM MADE DENTAL DEVICE FOR HOLDING MULTIPLE TEETH
A one piece custom made dental device for holding multiple teeth comprises a mono block of dental implants (4), abutments (1), supracrestally or supragingivally connecting bars (2) and pontics (3). Implant (4) is made up of flat and broad base (4.1) and implant body portion (4.4) having vertical threads (4.3), inverted thread (4.2), crestal supporting thread (4.5). Implant (4), abutments (1) and pontics (2) are fabricated according to an individual's bone and gum data to form mono block structure without any screw and joints in such a manner as to distribute stress and strain on integrated dental implants. Multiple implants are integrated through supracrystally or supragingivally connecting bars (2). The dental device of the present invention is designed to achieve faster placement and implantation process with minimal bone loss and minimal micro movements. The present device reduces time required for healing and cost of whole implantation and prosthesis process drastically.
Dental abutment screw
An abutment screw having a first hardness for use in affixing a dental prosthetic, having a second hardness less than the first hardness, to an abutment that itself is attachable to an implant in the mouth of a patient includes a head and a body. The body includes a smooth shank immediately proximate the head, and a threaded portion with a helical ridge that runs around its body, the helical ridge beginning at a point along the body distal the head portion. The head includes an upper surface, having a drive at a central portion thereof, and an underside surface having a convex radiused curvature extending until it meets the shaft, the convex radiused curvature being configured to conform to a corresponding concave curvature of a receiving portion of the prosthesis.
Bone anchor fixture for a medical prosthesis
A screw-shaped anchoring fixture for anchoring a prosthesis in the skull bone. The anchoring fixture comprises a main body configured to be implanted into the bone and a flange configured to function as a stop to prevent the main body from completely penetrating through the bone. The main body comprises a distal tapered apical portion, a first portion, and a second portion. The inner diameter of the second portion is greater than the inner diameter of the first portion. The method for inserting the anchoring fixture includes providing the anchoring fixture, drilling a hole, and inserting the anchoring fixture into the hole until the flange contacts the skull bone, wherein the hole has a diameter that is greater than the inner diameter of the first portion and less than the outer diameter of the second portion.
MODULAR BONE SCREW FOR SURGICAL FIXATION TO BONE
The invention discloses a modular surgical bone screw assembly having a threaded base portion and a screw head adapted to attach a variety of structures to bone. The features of the screw include a modular design for the assembly that separates the function of anchorage to the recipient bone to one of the modules of the device (threaded portion) from the other function of attaching another element (such as bone block, membrane, orthodontic wires, elastics etc) to a second module (the screw head). The design also allows the head to be exchanged after the implant has been placed.
Dental implant
A dental implant includes an anchoring region (12) for anchoring in a bone, which preferably includes a thread (14) for screwing in the bone, and a fastening region (22) for attaching a supra-construction, wherein an abutment region (16) adjoins the anchoring region (12), the abutment region (16) having a guide structure with a plurality of outwardly projecting ridges (18) provided thereon, and preferably, grooves (20) being formed between the ridges (20). The guide structure of the anchoring region (12) allows a better osseointegration and counteracts peri-implant bone loss.
