Perception systems and methods for identifying and processing a variety of objects
A drop perception system is disclosed that includes an open housing structure having an internal volume, an open top and an open bottom, and a plurality of perception units positioned to capture perception data within the internal volume at a plurality of locations between the open top and the open bottom of the open housing.
HANDLING ROBOT
A method for retrieving an inventory item based on a handling robot, where the handling robot includes: a storage frame; and a material handling device installed on the storage frame, and including a telescopic arm and a manipulator installed to the telescopic arm; and the method for retrieving an inventory item includes: driving, by the telescopic arm, the manipulator to extend to a preset position of warehouse shelf along a preset horizontal reference line; loading, by the manipulator that is remained on the reference line, the inventory item located in the preset position; driving, by the telescopic arm, the manipulator loaded with the inventory item to move to the storage frame along the reference line; and unloading, by the manipulator that is remained on the reference line, the inventory item to the storage frame.
CONTROL DEVICE
A work machine for performing a predetermined task through electronic cam control causes a master axis and a slave axis to return to have the correlation following an electronic cam profile after stop of electronic cam control. A predetermined position, which is a position of a slave axis drive corresponding to a cam angle of the stopped master axis, is obtained based on an electronic cam profile in response to stop of synchronization control over a master axis drive and the slave axis drive performed in the work machine. In response to the stopped slave axis drive being determined to be at a position deviating from the predetermined position, a return path is calculated based on the predetermined position and an interference section, in a range of cycles for the slave axis drive, in which the slave axis drive interferes with the workpiece for the predetermined task.
POSE DETERMINATION BY AUTONOMOUS ROBOTS IN A FACILITY CONTEXT
A system and a method are disclosed where an autonomous robot captures an image of an object to be transported from a source to a destination. The robot generates a bounding box within the image surrounding the object. The robot applies a machine-learned model to the image with the bounding box, the machine-learned model configured to identify an object type of the object, and to identify features of the object based on the identified object type and the image. The robot determines which of the identified features of the object are visible to the autonomous robot, and determines a three-dimensional pose of the object based on the features determined to be visible to the autonomous robot.
Rotary sortation and storage system
Systems and methods related to rotary sortation and storage systems may include a central beam, and a plurality of storage modules coupled to the central beam. Each storage module may include a plurality of trays arranged around the central beam. The plurality of trays may be configured to rotate around the central beam, and each tray may also be configured to extend or retract relative to the central beam. Further, each storage module may be configured to rotate the plurality of trays around the central beam independently of other storage modules, and each tray may also be configured to extend or retract relative to the central beam independently of other trays. Accordingly, the rotary sortation and storage systems may increase storage density while also facilitating various processes with improved speed, efficiency, throughput, and flexibility.
Systems and methods for processing objects
A processing system is disclosed for processing objects. The processing system includes a perception system for providing perception data regarding an object, and a primary transport system for providing transport of the object along a primary direction toward a processing location that is identified based on the perception data.
ROBOTIC SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING AND PROCESSING A VARIETY OF OBJECTS
A robotic system is disclosed that include an articulated arm and a first perception system for inspecting an object, as well as a plurality of additional perception systems, each of which is arranged to be directed toward a common area in which an object may be positioned by the robotic arm such that a plurality of views within the common area may be obtained by the plurality of additional perception systems.
