A combination poncho and emergency blanket includes a body consisting of (or alternatively including) a flexible sheet consisting of (or alternatively including) a first outer layer and a second outer layer directly attached to the first outer layer. Such a first outer layer is a front face of the body and the second outer layer is a rear face of the body. Advantageously, the first outer layer includes a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin. Advantageously, the second outer layer includes an aluminized biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin; wherein the first outer layer and the second outer layer have a combined cross-sectional thickness of 24 microns.

The present invention is directed to a changing cape made entirely of cotton fabric and configured to provide privacy to a user when changing clothing in an open or public area. The changing cape comprises a cape body configured to fit loosely, extend around the user's front and back, and have a length sufficient cover at least the user's knees. The cape body also comprises a top that defines a neck opening and an interior surface that defines an interior space. The changing cape also comprises a pair of hand openings configured to allow the user to conveniently withdraw their hands through the hand openings and into the interior space. At least two pockets are also affixed to the interior surface. In various embodiments, the changing cape is configured to fold compactly, is opaque, and is approximately as wide as the user is tall.

Such a convertible garment can be arranged in a second conformation to serve as an insulated ground cloth and reversed to serve as a protective cover or blanket. The garment may feature an attached storage pouch that is stowed in the yoke recess in the first and second conformations. In a third conformation, the garment may be folded and stowed in the storage pouch to serve as a vented cushion.

Apparatus, systems and methods related to convertible garments for multiple uses. Layered thumbhole structure

A sleeve cuff is provided for a sleeve including an anterior patch affixed to the sleeve and covering at least a portion of a cutout in the sleeve, a distal strap affixed to the sleeve and spanning over at least a portion of a cutout in the sleeve, and the distal strap overlapping at least a portion of the anterior patch to form an aperture for receiving a thumb therethrough. The sleeve cuff has a plurality of configurations, including at least a closed configuration where the aperture is closed and minimizes the wearer's exposure to wind and air elements therethrough, and an opened configuration where the aperture is opened and minimizes the air penetration around the received thumb.
