The invention relates to an electronic assembly for peripheral devices such as sensors of an aircraft, comprising three generic interfaces differing from one another for coupling the assembly to at least one peripheral device and at least one digital evaluation unit, in particular arranged downstream, wherein the assembly is couplable to the peripheral device via at least one interface.
Method for Controlling Location of End Effector of Robot Using Location Alignment Feedback
Systems and methods for automating robotic end effector alignment using real-time data from multiple distance sensors to control relative translational and rotational motion. In accordance with one embodiment, the alignment process involves computation of offset distance and rotational angles to guide a robotic end effector to a desired location relative to a target object. The relative alignment process enables the development of robotic motion path planning applications that minimize on-line and off-line motion path script creation, resulting in an easier-to-use robotic application. A relative alignment process with an independent (off-board) method for target object coordinate system registration can be used. One example implementation uses a finite-state machine configuration to control a holonomic motion robotic platform with rotational end effector used for grid-based scan acquisition for non-destructive inspection.
Stabilization of Tool-Carrying End of Extended-Reach Arm of Automated Apparatus
Apparatus and methods that can be used to stabilize the distal end of an arm (and an end effector attached thereto) of an automated extended-reach tool-equipped assembly. Stabilization is provided by three or more stabilizers, each comprising a stationary part and a movable part. Each stationary part has a fixed location relative to the end effector; each movable part is translatably coupled to a respective stationary part and comprises a contactor disposed at a distal end of the movable part. When the stabilizers are actuated, the contactors are translated toward and into contact with the surface of the workpiece and then locked in place to stabilize the distal end of the arm and the end effector. During tool operation, the stabilizers reduce oscillation of the end effector (and all structure fixedly coupled thereto).
Metrology-Based System for Operating a Flexible Manufacturing System
A method and apparatus for positioning an end effector relative to a fuselage assembly. The end effector is positioned relative to an expected reference location for a reference point on the fuselage assembly using data from a first metrology system. After positioning the end effector relative to the expected reference location, an actual reference location for the reference point on the fuselage assembly is identified using data from a second metrology system. The end effector is positioned at an operation location based on the actual reference location identified.
MOBILE PLATFORMS FOR PERFORMING OPERATIONS ALONG AN EXTERIOR OF A FUSELAGE ASSEMBLY
A method and apparatus for performing an assembly operation. A tool may be macro-positioned relative to an exterior of a fuselage assembly. The tool may be micro-positioned relative to a particular location on the exterior of the fuselage assembly. An end effector is removably associated with an external robotic device associated with an external mobile platform. The tool is removably associated with the end effector. An assembly operation may be performed at the particular location on the panel using the tool.

The memory device includes an avionics circuit, a configuration circuit, and a sequencing circuit. The avionics circuit includes a plurality of avionics instructions that when executed control operation of avionics systems in an airborne platform. The configuration circuit includes a plurality of criticality indications corresponding to the plurality of avionics instructions. The sequencing circuit is configured to generate a sequence for execution of avionics instructions based on the plurality of criticality indications to satisfy a system requirement for operation of the airborne platform, and cause the plurality of processing circuits to execute the plurality of avionics instructions according to the sequence.
Methods and systems for flight control for managing actuators for an electric aircraft
A system for flight control for managing actuators for an electric aircraft is provided.
