DENTAL ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY CAP AND METHOD OF USE
A dental attachment assembly and method anchors a dental appliance with an implant and has an abutment member attached to the implant, a retention member in releasable snap engagement with the abutment member, and a cap secured in a recess of the dental appliance and in releasable swivel engagement with the retention member to position and secure the dental appliance onto the implant. The cap includes a cavity with a rounded, concave inner surface which engages with the retention member, an interior top surface of the cavity with a concave recess extending radially along an outer periphery of the interior top surface of the cavity to allow for rotation of the retention member within the cap. A central portion of the interior top surface of the cavity surrounded by the concave recess therefore protrudes vertically into the cavity to minimize vertical displacement of the retention member as it rotates.
One-part or multi-part implant system comprising a mounting element having one or more outer rings
The present invention relates to a mounting element (10) for fixing removable tooth prostheses which are anchored by an implant, comprising a lower end (13) for fastening the mounting elements (10) having an implant (21) or abutment; and an upper end for connecting the mounting element having a tooth prosthesis, optionally a friction insert; characterised in that the main body of the mounting element (10) has an outer ring (11).
Dental device for anchoring a denture to an implant
A dental device for anchoring a dental appliance within a patient's mouth, including an abutment with a distal end characterized by a substantially concave surface and a first hollow, a pivotable collar with a substantially convex bottom and a second hallow formed through it from top to bottom, and an attachment screw. The bottom of the pivotable collar is configured to pivotally rest against the concave surface of the abutment. The attachment screw is configured to extend partially through the collar and connect with the abutment so as to secure the collar to the abutment. When not secured, the collar can be angulated relative to the abutment to provide for the orientation of a dental prosthesis within a patient's mouth.
DENTAL PROSTHESES DEVICES AND METHODS
Root canal abutment devices and methods which facilitate the adjustment or removal of an oral appliance, e.g., a crown or bridge, from a reconfigurable abutment assembly are described. The adjustable abutment assembly may be secured within a pulp chamber of a pre-existing tooth. The abutment assembly has a projecting abutment portion with one or more shape memory alloy sleeves or plates or elements extending along the abutment. Each of the sleeves has a length with at least one curved or arcuate portion. Energy may be applied to the elements such that the arcuate portion flattens to allow for the oral appliance to be placed thereupon while removal of the energy allows the elements to reconfigure into its curved configuration thereby locking the oral appliance to the abutment. Removal of the oral appliance may be effected by reapplication of energy to the elements.
Straight Zygoma and Angled Multi-Unit Abutment Implant
A multi-unit abutment apparatus for prosthetic teeth includes an implant screw having a first threaded portion for engaging and anchoring in the osseous bone. An elongated extension portion has a conical bottom portion for engaging the implant screw and having a socketed top. An abutment portion has an anti-rotation portion configured to engage the socketed top of the elongated extension portion in a non-rotational arrangement. The abutment portion has a body having a screw bore in axial parallel with the elongated extension portion and the implant screw and includes a mounting portion having a seat configured for seating the prosthetic tooth at between zero and sixty degrees.
MOLDS FOR CUSTOM DENTAL IMPLANT ABUTMENTS AND IMPRESSION POSTS
Molds for fabrication of custom and potentially modifiable abutments and impression posts for dental implants with various degrees of angulations (including zero degrees) and various dimensions are provided, with a generally oval shape that expands laterally upwards, a symmetrical or asymmetrical cross-section, and regular surfaces, that are fabricated as one piece, or as two coupling pieces snapping onto each other. Custom abutments achieve the development of a custom gingival emergence profile, three dimensionally, which is potentially modifiable according to the needs of each particular clinical case. Custom impression posts that correspond in dimensions and angulations to the abutments allow the accurate recording and transfer of the developed gingival emergence profile from the mouth onto the working cast, where the final implant prosthesis is fabricated. Custom abutments and impression posts have properties and design that allows their preparation and usage as temporary abutments for the cementation and support of temporary prostheses.
FASTENING SYSTEM FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS
A fastening system (100) for a dental implant (30) comprising a ball shaped portion (31), wherein the fastening system (100) comprises a body (12) having a seat (10, 20) forming a cavity. The fastening system is characterized in that the body (12) comprises at least two parts (10a, 10b, 20a, 20b) together forming the seat (10, 20). The parts (10a, 10b, 20a, 20b) are arranged such that the seat (10, 20) can engage around the ball shaped portion (31) of the dental implant (30) and in that the seat (10, 20) is movable between a first position in which the parts (10a, 10b, 20a, 20b) are allowed to move relative each other, and a second position in which the parts (10a, 10b, 20a, 20b) are prevented from moving relative each other.
System of compensatory slanted copings, converters and extenders and abutments of universal coupling over osseointegrated implants
The present invention refers to a system of prosthetic components consisting of Compensatory Slanted Copings and Abutments of Universal Coupling that function as a set of coupled parts that allow corrections of slants that vary between OQ and 60Q, of fixing osseointeg rated implants, including zygomatic fixations, and it provides a cap, molding transferer and screws for fastening and locking. This system of copings and abutments provides properties of conversion and extension of the implants. Its shape provides better occlusal stability and favorable biomechanics, since the forces are better distributed, diminishing the concentration of tension on the fitting platform of the implant, as well as the screws. The abutments of the universal coupling can be readjusted and be cemented or screwed. In the present system, the superior platform of the coping and the inferior base of the abutment are universalized, since the inferior platform of the coping corrects the slant of the implant. It has screws for fastening and for locking of the coping/abutment set. The characteristics of this system provide great versatility, which allows it to be used in various areas of medicine.
Polyaxial dental implant system
A dental implant system can include an upper implant body coupled to a lower body with a cavity between the upper and lower implant bodies. The system can further include an anchor at least partially disposed within the cavity. The system can also include an abutment that couples to the anchor and serves as a mounting area for a crown. The anchor can be rotatable and swivelable, allowing the lower implant body to be implanted at an angle in bone while permitting the crown to be positioned in a natural tooth orientation.
