A FASTENING SYSTEM, LOCKING ELEMENT, AND PROCESS FOR FORMING A SUPERSTRUCTURE, FOR A DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A fastening system for a dental implant, the fastening system comprising: a locking element comprising a central throughgoing aperture, the aperture having a first distal portion, and a second proximal portion, the second proximal portion having a reduced inner diameter with respect to the first distal portion; a dental superstructure provided with a cavity for receiving the locking element, the cavity having a distal portion and a proximal portion separated by a shoulder, and a fastening element receivable within the cavity and the aperture, the fastening element being substantially restricted from distal displacement by the shoulder of the cavity.
TRANSMUCOSAL BASE WITH IMPROVED LONGITUDINAL THROUGH-PASSAGE
A transmucosal base for receiving a dental prosthesis on a dental implant extends in a longitudinal direction (I-I) between a proximal end and a distal end. The transmucosal base includes a proximal portion shaped so as to be received in or on a dental implant, a distal portion shaped so as to support a dental prosthesis, a longitudinal through-passage successively including an upstream cylindrical portion, a seat for a screw, and a downstream cylindrical portion bounded by a side wall. The transmucosal base includes, in the longitudinal through-passage, a radial inner housing arranged in the peripheral wall of the seat and in the side wall of the downstream cylindrical portion.
MECHANICAL DENTAL BONDING SCRUBBING APPARATUS
A mechanical dental bonding scrubbing apparatus with timer that can be used in bonding protocol of dental adhesives or composite fillings, characterized by being formed by a main body configured to receive a microbrush and equipped with a timer that has a time counting element that can be programmed for lagged timing with different notification sounds. The apparatus can be used with regular micro brushes available currently for use.
Dental / Prosthetic Implant
Improvements in a dental/prosthetic implant are disclosed. The implant includes interior and exterior threaded surfaces. The use of both interior and exterior expanding threaded surfaces for integrations of the insert and a prosthetic with the same implant. The implant is immediately usable under load and promotes rapid integration with bone growth. The expanded insert essentially contacts the tapped bone surfaces where loads can be immediately applied so a person can utilize the prosthetic implant. The implant can further include security devices GPS, ID with medical records making removal of the implant difficult to extract. A cushioning member may be further integrated. The implant/abutment can include a surface with a plurality of contacts with sufficient gold contact points to attach residual nerve endings, during implanting surgery to provide nerve identification, send, receive, target to exploit proprioceptive memory or retraining.
Dental treatment method and abutment used therein
A dental treatment method is provided. In this method, a tooth of a patient is extracted and prepared to provide a root part. A root canal in the extracted tooth is prepared and treated. A post of an abutment is fitted into the root canal to attach the root part to the abutment. The abutment having the root part is attached to a dental implant. With the root part attached to the abutment, periodontal connective tissue maintains the jaw bone associated with the extracted tooth, without significant hard tissue loss.
DENTAL INSERT FOR CONNECTING A DENTAL IMPLANT TO A DENTAL ABUTMENT
A dental insert for connecting a dental implant to a dental abutment includes a dental abutment having at least two interfaces. A first interface of the at least two interfaces is formed in interaction with the abutment for fixing the dental insert to the implant by a latching and/or clamping connection. A second interface of the at least two interfaces is formed for fixing the dental insert to the dental abutment.
Dental implant framework
An improved method of a dental framework design and manufacturing, incorporating a dental framework design volume to eliminate framework or denture teeth modification post framework manufacturing.
ANCHORING SYSTEM FOR ATTACHING A PROSTHESIS TO A HUMAN BODY
The present invention relates to an anchoring system for attaching a prosthesis to a human body, comprising: an anchoring element, an abutment, an abutment screw for attaching the abutment to the anchoring element, the anchoring element comprises a connection area for the abutment, the connection area comprising a press-fit portion such that the abutment is attached to the anchoring element in the connection area by a press-fit connection, wherein the connection area comprises an anti-rotation geometry and the abutment comprising a corresponding mating anti-rotation geometry proximal to the press-fit portion, and where in the connection area comprises a conical portion proximal to the anti-rotational geometry forming a mating geometry for a corresponding conical portion in the through-hole of the abutment.
DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
A dental implant having a substantially cylindrical shape with a longitudinal axis defining a longitudinal direction, including: a coronal section including a coronal end of the implant; a threaded region extending apically from the coronal section to an apical tip of the implant; and an internal blind bore for connection to a secondary part, including: a stabilizing section extending apically from the coronal end; and a drive and indexing section which extends apically from an apical end of the stabilizing section, which includes a plurality of connecting lobes having a concave shape and extending in the longitudinal direction, being interconnected by respective lobe linking areas, including: two convex sections extending in the longitudinal direction and adjacent to a respective connecting lobe; and a concave section extending in the longitudinal direction between the two convex sections. Further, a secondary part and an insertion tool of a configuration matching the dental implant.
Systems and methods for dental abutments with cement-retained crowns
Devices and methods for dental abutments. Particular embodiments include a dental abutment comprising a base portion, and a generally cylindrical neck portion extending from the base portion, where the generally cylindrical neck portion comprises a first end proximal to the base portion, a second end distal from the base portion, an outer surface, and an inner surface forming a central lumen. Certain embodiments include a plurality of vent holes extending from the outer surface of the generally cylindrical neck portion to the central lumen, where the plurality of vent holes are located proximal to the base portion of the abutment.
