An abutment arrangement for connecting a dental restoration, having a post body and a screw element, to a dental implant is disclosed. The post body has an axial passage with a head socket and a press section. The screw element has a head section and a thread section. The screw element may be arranged in the post body passage so that the head section is positioned in the head socket abutting the press section, and the screw element extends through an occlusal aperture. When the screw element is arranged in the post body passage, a first locking section of the screw element is positioned adjacent to a second locking section of a mounting portion of the post body, with the first and second locking sections being configured to plastically deform the screw element and/or the post body such that the post body mounting portion is locked in an expanded position.

A device and a system for forming a releasable connection between a dental implant abutment and prosthetic restoration, and in particular to such a device and system that is configured for use in situations where the inter-occlusal space is very limited, the device having a female connection device having a hollow tubular body featuring an open lumen.

Dental implant comprising an implant body having on an outer side an external thread for fastening the dental implant to a jaw bone and having an opening extending along a longitudinal axis of the dental implant. The opening comprises an internal thread for fastening a superstructure to the dental implant. A dental attachment assembly and method anchors a dental appliance with an implant and has an abutment member attached to the implant, a retention member in releasable snap engagement with the abutment member, and a cap secured in a recess of the dental appliance and in releasable swivel engagement with the retention member to position and secure the dental appliance onto the implant. The cap includes a cavity with a rounded, concave inner surface which engages with the retention member, an interior top surface of the cavity with a concave recess extending radially along an outer periphery of the interior top surface of the cavity to allow for rotation of the retention member within the cap. A central portion of the interior top surface of the cavity surrounded by the concave recess therefore protrudes vertically into the cavity to minimize vertical displacement of the retention member as it rotates.

A fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly is provided. The fixed hybrid dental attachment assembly includes an abutment member, a male member, and a cap. The abutment member has an outer locating surface portion projecting downwardly from an upper end. The male member for attachment to the abutment member has an upper end for engagement within a cap in a recess in a dental appliance, and a continuous, unbroken skirt projecting from the upper end of the male member for engagement over the outer locating surface of the abutment member. The skirt may have a rounded, convex outer surface, and the male member may be constructed from a PEEK material.

The present invention provides a dental implant including: a fixture and an abutment including a coupling leg, and the fixture and the abutment are elastically coupled with each other, the dental implant including: a fixture axial hole inner inclined surface in which an inner diameter of an axial hole is gradually and downwardly reduced from a predetermined position of an inner inclined surface of the fixture; a first coupling part formed with a coupling hole at a predetermined position of the fixture; and a first associated coupling part formed with a coupling protrusion complementarily coupled with the first coupling part, wherein when the first associated coupling part is separated from the first coupling part by rotating the abutment, the coupling protrusion upwardly pushes the abutment from the fixture by elastic repulsion with the axial hole inner inclined surface of the fixture, thus the abutment becomes separated from the fixture.

A frictionally-retained detachable dental attachment assembly or anchor device is designed to attach a dental appliance with a tooth root or implant. The assembly includes a denture attachment housing for securing in the dental appliance, an abutment attached with a tooth root or implant, and a compressible retention member with a first end in fixed attachment with the cap and a second end in snap engagement with the abutment via a frictionally-retained ball secured within a cavity of the abutment. The retention member is formed using a compressible material to allow the ball to compress and the retention member to flex while inserting the ball into the cavity. Additional friction-retained and fixed attachment configurations of the dental anchor device are provided, along with methods of securing a dental appliance in a subject's mouth by means of the friction-retained and fixed attachment dental anchor devices.

A denture abutment retention apparatus and a denture including one or more denture abutment retention apparatuses configured to allow the denture to be easily engaged with and secured to a plurality of denture abutments in a user's mouth using sliding motion of the denture from the sides of the plurality of denture abutments.

An implant abutment is disclosed. An implant abutment for connecting a fixture and an artificial prosthesis, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: an abutment lower part coupled to the fixture; an abutment upper part coupled to the artificial prosthesis, wherein the abutment lower part and the abutment upper part are integrally formed or separately coupled; and a small-movement part, which is interposed between the abutment upper part and the abutment lower part or disposed on a portion or all of the abutment upper part.
