DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS, THREE-DIMENSIONAL MANUFACTURING SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM

A data processing apparatus includes:

a receiving unit: that receives first data defining a shape and a color of a three-dimensional object; and

a generating unit, wherein when two or snore color components interfere with each other in one voxel as a result of performing a halftoning process for each of plural color components based on color information in the first data, the generating unit generates color voxel data by assigning any one of the two or more color components as color information of the one voxel and assigning the remaining color components of the two or more color components as color information of voxels present around the one voxel.

Control method of a printer, and printer

A printer control method prevents the user from repeatedly executing an error recovery operation when a cutter error occurs. The printer 2 has a cutter 22 that moves a movable knife 32 between a home position HP and cutting position CP and cuts recording paper 6 at the cutting position CP. When a cutter error in which the movable knife 32 does not return from the home position HP is detected (step ST5), the host device 3 reports a cutter error (step ST6). When the printer 2 executes a cutter error recovery operation (step ST9) and again detects a cutter error (step ST5), it detects a non-recoverable error as being unable to recover from the cutter error (step ST10), and reports the non-recoverable error (step ST11).

Feed forward terms based on continuous model

An example method for controlling a carriage of a printing device is described. In one implementation, a target velocity value that satisfies a sharpness threshold is filtered by a processor resource of the printing device, a feed forward term is generated using a continuous model applied to the filtered velocity input using a plurality of electromechanical parameters, a feedback term is generated based on a difference between an expected pulse-width modulation (PWM) profile and an actual PWM profile, and a voltage to be provided to a motor of the carriage is adjusted based on the feed forward term and the feedback term.
