20190117348 · 2019-04-25 ·

A dental restoration system is disclosed. A dental restoration system includes an implant, retention component, dental component and driver tool. The retention component is sealable in a retention chamber of the implant. The retention component includes a driver section for interfacing with a driving head of the driver tool and a dental component engagement section with a threaded surface. The dental component includes a retention component interface surface with threads. The dental component engages the retention component via the threaded surface interlocking with the threads of the retention component interface surface when the dental component is inserted in the implant. The driver tool is used to rotate the retention component to engage the dental component apically. The retention component contacts the retention component wall and the dental component contacts an annular shoulder of the implant when the dental component is fully attached to the implant.

The invention relates to a secondary part (1) for a dental implant (2). The secondary part (1) has a head part (3) and a connection part (4). The connection part (4) has at least two spring elements (5), which extend along a longitudinal axis (L) of the secondary part (1). The spring elements (5) have a coronal end (6) and an apical end (7) and are connected at the coronal end (6) to the head part (3) In addition, the at least two spring elements (5) are radially supported with respect to each other at the respective apical ends (7) by an end part (8). A central part (9) of at least one of the supported spring elements (5) is in this case elastically deflectable in a radial direction.

An implant comprising two internal anti-rotational features. One anti-rotational feature is adapted to engage a driving tool, while the other anti-rotational feature is adapted to engage an abutment. An implant abutment system is provided with an angled abutment adapted to mate with one of the anti-rotational features. A second, straight abutment is adapted to engage with the other anti-rotational feature. An abutment is provided with resilient fingers to interface with the implant and provide tactile and audible feedback indicating when the abutment is properly seated. An abutment screw extends through the abutment and engages the implant bore distal of the stem of the abutment. The abutment screw limits axial movement of the abutment relative to the implant. A driving tool comprising one of at least retention structure and visual alignment indicia is provided to facilitate screwing the implant into a patient's bone.

A method of using a dental filler is disclosed. The method may include securing a prosthetic to a dental implant, the prosthetic having an access channel therethrough. The method may also include filling a portion of the access channel by inserting a polytetrafluoroethylene dental plug into the access channel and compressing the polytetrafluoroethylene dental plug within the access channel.

METHOD OF DAMPING LATERAL, AXIAL AND LONGITUDINAL FORCES ON DENTAL PROSTHESES USING SYNTHETIC PERIODONTAL LIGAMENT FIBERS
20190000597 · 2019-01-03 ·

A method of damping compressive, tensile, and lateral compressive and tensile forces on one or more prosthetic teeth and an implant recessed into jawbone through use of synthetic periodontal ligament fibers in the form of a damping membrane within a dental bridge assembly. An arcuate damping membrane positions on a full bar and a half-bar positions over the membrane; whereby the damping membrane is sufficiently resilient to enable lateral and axial movements by the prostheses affixed to the half-bar.

FORCE DAMPING DENTAL BRIDGE ASSEMBLY WITH SYNTHETIC PERIODONTAL LIGAMENT FIBERS

A force damping dental bridge assembly which damps compressive, tensile, and lateral forces on a prosthetic tooth and jawbone through use of synthetic periodontal ligament fibers in the form of a damping membrane. Multiple layers of arcuate components and Morse taper interconnections secure the assembly. A threaded implant that penetrates the jawbone defining a tapered, conical inner cavity which receives a shank protruding downwardly from a full bar. An arcuate damping membrane positions on the bar and a half-bar positions over the membrane; whereby the damping membrane is sufficiently resilient to enable lateral and axial movements by the prostheses affixed to the half-bar. A plurality of protuberances extend from an upper surface of the half-bar to enable sculpting and affixation of prostheses thereon; and whereby a plurality of fasteners detachably connect the prostheses to the bar and/or implants in a snap-fit relationship that can be detached with an implement adapted to unsnap the assembly from a patient's mouth.

Double-cushioned dental implant

An dental implant has a substantially cylindrical solid base member; an abutment; an implant-abutment junction (IAJ) portion at one end of the base member to retain the abutment to the base member, so that the abutment is able to move within a predetermined distance in an axial direction of the base member, a first cushion adapted to be mounted between the abutment and the base member, and a second cushion, preferably an elastomer, which is sandwiched between the IAJ portion and the abutment, wherein the first and second cushion are able to provide a resistance force when the abutment is pressed to move relatively toward the base member and providing a bouncing back force when the abutment is released from the pressing.

Disclosed is a medical adaptor generally featuring an adaptor body extending from a fitment end towards a perch. The adaptor further comprises a fitment extending away from the fitment end, and a mortar extending away and integral with the fitment, to terminate at the perch. The adaptor also features a shrinkable collet comprising a collet face and a collet hole extended from a collet hole towards a collet tail. A collet bolt is threaded into the collet hole such that collet is avoided from getting shrunk and, is locked at a desired angular position.

A dental prosthesis securing system secures a dental prosthesis to a dental implant. An abutment for cement has a base surface for placement against the dental implant. The base surface does not define an engagement shape that requires alignment with a complementary shape defined by the implant. A securing mechanism secures the abutment for cement to the dental implant.
