20230263601 · 2023-08-24 ·

Disclosed is a dental implant abutment having a function of buffering occlusal force transmitted through a prosthesis and configured to be elastically coupled to the prosthesis without using an adhesive. A prosthesis fastening protrusion protrudes outward from an outer surface of an upper portion thereof on which a prosthesis is mounted. The diameter of the prosthesis fastening protrusion being greater than the diameter of a portion located directly therebelow. Indentations divide the upper portion of the abutment into a plurality of sections. The indentations continuously extend downward a predetermined length from a top end surface of the abutment. A predetermined lengthwise portion of each of the indentations has a spiral or oblique shape.

Implant analog

A dental implant system including a dental implant (1) and an associated implant analog (50), the implant extending along a longitudinal axis (L1) from an apical end (101) to a coronal end (102) and having an external surface for anchoring and osseointegrating in bone, a coronal end portion (105) having abutment connection geometry for cooperating with an abutment which can be seated in one or more defined positions on the implant, the abutment connection geometry having a coronally facing abutment contact surface (128) which extends around the full circumference of the implant, and in use directly contacts the abutment and provides a stop defining the axial location of the abutment relative to the implant, the coronal end portion further having a coronally facing prosthesis contact surface (129) located radially beyond the abutment contact surface, the prosthesis contact surface being a continuous surface extending around the full circumference of the implant.

Dental technology kit

A dental technology kit for coupling a dental prosthesis to a bone tissue includes at least one shell that defines a compartment that can be associated with a protruding head of a pin that can be anchored, directly or indirectly, to the bone tissue. The kit further includes at least one containment unit, which can be stably inserted into a complementarily-shaped recess that can be provided in the prosthesis, and an intermediate container defining internally a receptacle of shape at least partially complementary to the shell. The container is accommodatable in an at least partially complementarily-shaped chamber provided in the containment unit until a mating configuration is defined, in which at least one curved surface hump of the container, accommodated in the chamber, is arranged in contact with at least one complementarily-shaped curved surface region of the unit.

Superstructure support having special inner and outer geometry

The invention relates to a superstructure support (20) as part of a prosthetic tooth replacement (1) between an implant body (10) and a superstructure, comprising a hollow implant post (23), a hollow implant pin (50), and an implant flange (31) lying therebetween. The cavity zones (67, 62) of the implant post (23) and of the implant pin (50) transition into each other. The cavity zones have respective center lines (69, 63), which include an angle of 60 to 86 angular degrees. The cavity zone (62) of the implant pin (50) has a screw head seat surface (65) that widens toward the implant flange. At least some areas of the implant flange form a supporting enveloping surface (37), which is oriented toward the implant post (23) and the outer edge (33) of which spans a reference plane (38), which is perpendicularly intersected by the center line (69) of the post-side cavity zone (67). The center lines of the implant post (23) and of the implant pin (50) intersect or cross below the reference plane (38). By means of the invention, a superstructure support (20) for the prosthetic tooth replacement is improved in such a way that a secure and lasting screwed connection to the implant body is ensured.

Screw-attached pick-up dental coping system and methods

A temporary alignment system and method for holding a dental coping to an implant abutment using the same threads in the abutment that are used for definitive attachment are disclosed. The disclosed temporary fasteners initially orient and hold a coping against an abutment with a force along the same axis as the semi-definitive screw. The aligned coping can be picked-up in a closed-tray impression process without unscrewing the temporary fastener. Embodiments include threaded posts that release copings from the abutment through axial forces. Some embodiments include a threaded post with separable cap that is picked-up with the coping. Methods for converting an existing prosthesis for screw attachment to implants in a single visit and digital capture of the converted prosthesis are described.
