Angulated dental implant

A dental implant includes a generally cylindrical body, an interior bore, and a non-rotational feature. The generally cylindrical body has a main-central axis and is formed from cold-worked, high strength, commercially pure titanium having an ultimate tensile strength of at least about 900 MPa. The generally cylindrical body has a proximal portion and an opposing distal portion for anchoring the dental implant in bone of a patient. The interior bore is formed in the generally cylindrical body and has (i) a bore-central axis and (ii) a threaded portion for receiving a screw that is configured to removable hold an abutment in engagement with the dental implant. The non-rotational feature is configured to engage the abutment in a non-rotational fashion.

DENTAL IMPLANT SYSTEM

A dental implant whereby an osteotomy cavity is formed in jawbone and then a base member of the implant is positioned into the cavity. The base member serves as a platform to secure an abutment member of the implant that in turn receives a dental restoration, such as a crown or denture.

DENTAL ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLIES, ANGLED IMPLANT ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF USE

Dental attachment assemblies for a mouth of a patient are provided. Contemplated dental attachment assemblies may include an abutment member, and a retention member for attachment to the abutment member. The retention member may comprise an upper end and a continuous, unbroken skirt projecting from the upper end for fixed, non-patient removable, fixed engagement over an outer locating surface of the abutment member. The retention member can be constructed from a rigid material, such as PEEK, such that it provides a retentive force of about 10 to 75 pounds. The abutment member may be configured for attachment to an implant having an upper portion including a threaded portion configured to screw into a threaded recess of an abutment, and a lower portion including an angled platform and a threaded post extending from the platform.

A custom dental implant and a method and system for making the custom dental implant having one or more energy storing devices that deflect during installation and expand to provide stability after insertion in a natural dental socket of a patient.

Sub-periosteal extension for a dental implant

A dental implant comprising a subperiosteal extension, said extension extending radially beyond a radius of a post of said dental implant. A device for mounting onto a dental implant configured to extend said dental implant to comprise a subperiosteal extension, said device extending radially beyond an interface between bone and said dental implant. A method of implanting a dental implant comprising elevating a mucoperiosteal flap at site of implantation, drilling a hole for inserting a dental implant comprising a subperiosteal extension, inserting said dental implant, and covering said subperiosteal extension with said mucoperiosteal flap. Related apparatus and methods are also described.

ANCHOR WITH HEALING CHAMBERS
20220047359 · 2022-02-17 · ·

An anchor to be screwed into a hole with high primary stability and eventually even higher secondary stability. A right hand thread form winds with continuous turns along the body of the anchor. A trailing flank of the thread form is back-angled. The central region includes an array of flutes having left-hand helical twist. Each flute is composed of distinct flute segments. A condensing ramp is formed along the crest of the thread form between two circumferentially—adjacent flute segments. Each condensing ramp is pitched about 20° so as to apply a localized compressive strain to the interior surface of the host bone with a densifying action when the anchor is screwed into the prepared hole. The condensing ramps create induced stress and super-activated zones in the bone directly adjacent to healing chambers formed by the flute segments. The healing chambers draw bone to naturally encourage and promote healing.

Surgical tool with flexible shaft

An implant system can include a first rotatable flexible shaft comprising a biocompatible material and configured to be used as an implant for placement in the human body, the implant including an implant driving element positioned at a proximal end; a second rotatable flexible shaft including a cutting drill positioned at a distal end and a drill driving element positioned at a proximal end; and a surgical tool capable of being connected, in the alternative, to the drill driving element for forming a recessed surgical site and to the implant driving element for placing the implant in the recessed surgical site.
