METHODS OF INITIATING ALIGNER-BASED ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT OF A PATIENT
Methods of initiating aligner-based orthodontic treatment of a patient. A method of initiating aligner-based orthodontic treatment of a patient includes recording a dental condition data set, producing one or more dental aligners, and providing the one or more dental aligners to the patient. At least the producing the one or more dental aligners and the providing the one or more dental aligners to the patient are performed at a service provider office while the patient remains at the service provider office.
INTRAORAL SCANNER SLEEVE AUTHENTICATION AND IDENTIFICATION
Apparatuses, including sleeves, intraoral scanning systems to use these sleeves, and methods of using the sleeve, that authenticate the sleeve for use with an intraoral scanning system. Authentication may include verifying that the sleeve is new (unused) and/or verifying that the sleeve is appropriate and/or intended for use with the intraoral scanning system. Once authenticated, operation parameters of the intraoral scanning system can be automatically set based on information from a scanned identifier on the sleeve.
METHOD FOR GENERATING A DIGITAL DATA SET REPRESENTING A TARGET TOOTH ARRANGEMENT
In one aspect of the present application, there is provided a computer-implemented method for generating a digital data set representing a target tooth arrangement, the method comprises: obtaining a first and a second 3D digital models respectively representing upper jaw teeth and lower jaw teeth under an initial tooth arrangement, where the first and the second 3D digital models are in a predetermined relative position relationship; extracting features from the first and the second 3D digital models; generating a first digital data set representing a target tooth arrangement of the upper jaw teeth and the lower jaw teeth based on the extracted features using a trained recurrent neural network based deep learning neural network.
TRACKED TOOTHBRUSH AND TOOTHBRUSH TRACKING SYSTEM
A dental device tracking method including acquiring, using an imager of a dental device, at least a first image which includes an image of at least one user body portion outside of a user’s oral cavity; identifying the at least one user body portion in the first image; and determining, using the at least the first image, a position of the dental device with respect to the at least one user body portion.
Method and apparatus for expandable implants
An apparatus may include an elongated hollow body with a plurality of skirts on one end of the elongated hollow body. An exterior of the elongated hollow body may have a plurality of fins. At least some of the plurality of fins may have a different diameter and/or placement along a length of the elongated hollow body. The elongated hollow body may be configured to receive a screw. The screw may be configured to expand the plurality of skirts upon insertion into an interior of the elongated hollow body. The plurality of fins may be configured to secure the apparatus when the apparatus is placed within a bore. The plurality of fins may secure the apparatus at least by engaging the bore.
Dental instrument, control method thereof, and three-dimensional measuring
A handheld dental instrument includes a casing provided with a holding portion to be held by a user, a reception unit provided on the casing to receive an operation from the user, and a control unit that controls a control target to perform a predetermined action in response to the operation received by the reception unit. The control unit performs a first control when the operation received by the reception unit from the user is a first operation, and performs a second control different from the first control when the operation received by the reception unit from the user is a second operation different from the first operation.
IMPRESSION REGISTRATION
Systems and methods for providing at least one fixture for use in an image guidance system for determining a registration coordinate mapping between a human jaw and a volumetric image of that jaw. The system includes one or more channeled trays and a moldable thermoplastic material for inserting into a channeled tray. The moldable thermoplastic material is hardenable into an impression part such that when mated to the at least a portion of the human jaw and held within the channel of the channeled tray, the impression part resists displacement relative to the human jaw. At least one channeled tray in the system includes a fiducial region detectable in the volumetric CT image in a fixed spatial relation relative to the coupling surface region and at least one channeled tray is pose-trackable by the image guidance system.
DENTAL ARCH WIDTH MEASUREMENT TOOL
Systems and methods for rapidly and reliably determining an arch with of a patient's dental arch. A patient's dentition may be scanned and/or segmented. Arch width may be determined between points of intersection on the occlusal surface and a long axis of each tooth between one or more of: canine, first bicuspid, first primary molar, second bicuspid, second primary molar, and permanent first molar. Arch widths of different modified versions of the patient's dentition may be dynamically compared the patient's starting dentition, or to each other, and may be dynamically updated as the user modifies or switches between one or more 3D models of the patient's dentition.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INTELLIGENT DIAGNOSIS
A computer system and method for intelligent diagnosis are provided. The system comprises at least one processor and a memory storing instructions which when executed by the processor configure the processor to perform the method. The method comprises receiving an initial appoint request, receiving a first scanning appointment request, sending a movable practice to patient location, receiving scanning data, and sending the scanning data to remote server for processing.
Tracked dental measurement device
A method of collecting dental measurements comprising: receiving optical measurement data of at least a portion of a subject's mouth; contacting a portion of a measuring device to portions of the subject's mouth to collect position measurement data, where the measuring device includes a tracker; and combining the optical measurement data and the position measurement data.
