A machine tool includes an operation evaluation section that evaluates an operation thereof and a machine learning device that performs the machine learning of a movement amount of an axis thereof. The machine learning device calculates a reward based on state data of the machine tool including output data from the operation evaluation section, performs the machine learning of the determination of the movement amount of the axis, and determines the movement amount of the axis based on a machine learning result and outputs the determined movement amount. The machine learning device performs the machine learning of the determination of the movement amount of the axis based on the determined movement amount of the axis, the acquired state data, and the calculated reward.

A control device according to the present disclosure includes: an analysis unit that analyzes instructions by a control program; a corner detection unit that detects, on the basis of the analysis result by the analysis unit, a corner portion at which the direction of a moving route becomes discontinuous; a reference curve creation unit that performs acceleration/deceleration processing on movements before and after the corner portion on the moving route and that creates, as a reference curve, a curve obtained by overlapping the movements by an amount corresponding to a predetermined overlap period; a corner curving unit that creates a moving route curved by inserting, in the corner portion, a curve passing through at least one predetermined reference position on the reference curve; and a curve velocity planning unit that creates a velocity plan relating to movement on the curved moving route. The curve velocity planning unit determines the velocity at the reference position during the movement on the moving route, on the basis of the moving velocity at the reference position on the reference curve.

A plasma cutting system for measuring or monitoring the voltage between a plasma torch and the material being cut to determine a voltage or voltage signature and comparing that measurement against predetermined values to indicate that an initial pierce of the material is complete, and based on the measurement, moving the torch or the material to a different location for additional cutting. The system further provides a Fix Drawing Tool, which will automatically detect and fix gaps or overlaps in a drawing that are very difficult to find visually. These gaps and overlaps become a problem when trying to make a proper toolpath because a CAM program requires a clean, closed shape. The system also provides a Dynamic Corner Looping system, which automatically adjusts with the feed-rate and accelerations of the toolpath and plasma machine, eliminates unwanted dross, sharpens corners and minimizes material loss.
