DENTURE PREPARATION ASSEMBLY, METHOD AND APPARATUS
The invention concerns an apparatus for a denture preparation assembly, comprising an impression tray piece for insertion into the mouth of the patient and to receive impression material and a dental model jig attachable to the impression tray piece, said dental model jig including model teeth, wherein the attachment between the impression tray piece and the dental model jig is adjustable to allow the dental model jig to be moved in the mouth of the patient to a desired position relative to the impression tray piece, said relative position being retainable to allow scanning of the impression material and the dental model jig.
The invention assists in 3D scanning for digital design/manufacture of dentures, and allows the model teeth to be positioned and orientated in the patient's mouth relative to the impression material in the impression tray piece in the patient's mouth, the position and orientation being retained when the apparatus is removed.

A dental prosthesis fabrication system includes: an intraoral information obtaining unit that obtains three-dimensional shape information of a tooth and color information of the tooth; a data generation unit that generates three-dimensional shape data and color data of the tooth based on the three-dimensional shape information of the tooth; a forming unit that forms a dental prosthesis based on the three-dimensional shape data of the tooth; and a coloring unit that applies color to a surface of the dental prosthesis based on the color data of the tooth.
DENTAL AND ORTHOPEDIC FASTENER WITH DIRECTIONAL SHOCK ABSORBER
An implant body having a coronal end and an opposing apical end, an outer surface and a compartment extending therein from a coronal end toward the apical end, the implant body including a gap between the compartment or spherical head portion and the outer surface.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OF ZrO2-BASED CERAMIC DENTAL CROWNS
Systems and methods for additive manufacturing of ZrO.sub.2 ceramic objects, and in particular ZrO.sub.2-based ceramic dental crowns. A method includes mixing a doped ZrO.sub.2 powder with a photo-curable resin to produce a printing mixture, 3D printing of a dental crown green body structure using the printing mixture, wherein the 3D printing includes an advanced digital light processing (ADLP) process using a gradient printing technique to form a color gradient in the dental crown green body structure, debinding the dental crown green body structure to remove organic polymers using one of a thermal debinding process, an infrared debinding process, and a laser debinding process, sintering the debound dental crown structure to produce a densified dental crown structure using one of a pressureless sintering process, a laser sintering process, and an electric field sintering process, and surface engineering the densified dental crown structure to produce a finished dental crown structure using one of a mechanical polishing process, a laser polishing process, a laser shock peening process, a shot peening process, and a water jet process.
Methods for Managing Digital Work Flow
A method for managing a dental work flow using digital automation. After a remote consultation, the patient is sent a portable scanning wand or device by a dental professional. The patient performs a self intra-oral scan as directed and then transmits the video over a network such as the internet. Before the dental professional can review the transmitted data, a data management module analyzes the transmitted video using a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and automatically prepares an original report or summary which details any likely issues present within the patient's teeth. An additional supplemental report may also be generated by the suite of AI tools which lists any required treatments, any possible elective treatments, and any further treatment options that may be provided responsively to the patient. The dental professional can then form a diagnosis for the patient and then send the diagnosis directly to the patient.
INTRAORAL SCANNING SYSTEMS
Methods and apparatuses for taking, using and displaying three-dimensional (3D) volumetric models of a patient's dental arch. A 3D volumetric model may include surface (e.g., color) information as well as information on internal structure, such as near-infrared (near-IR) transparency values for internal structures including enamel and dentin.
Systems and Methods for Pause-Correct-Replay Workflow Customization
This disclosure pertains to systems and methods that allow users to specifically detect and correct errors within workflows quickly, efficiently, and with minimal repercussions. Once the error is corrected, users have the option to continue the workflow from the point of failure or from a point prior to the point of failure, while also having the option to bypass completed actions and/or other actions in a workflow. The improved communication technology comprises functionality that pauses relevant workflows or processes as soon as the error is detected and while it is corrected. The disclosure also improves communication technology between the networks and servers of separate parties relevant and/or dependent on successful execution of other workflows or processes; allowing for effective understanding, implementation, and engagement of business processes across organizational boundaries.
Method For Fabricating A Dental Restoration
The present invention relates to a method for fabricating a dental restoration, comprising the steps of rendering (S101) a first digital tooth model with a first material combination for generating a first actual data set representing the optical properties of the first digital tooth model; determining (S102) a first deviation between a target data set and the first actual data set; rendering (S103) a second digital tooth model based on a second combination of materials to generate a second actual data set representing the optical properties of the second digital tooth model; determining (S104) a second deviation between the target data set and the second actual data set; and fabricating (S105) the dental restoration based on the first digital tooth model when the first deviation is less than the second deviation and fabricating the dental restoration based on the second digital tooth model when the second deviation is less than the first deviation.
METHOD FOR THE DIGITAL ACQUISITION OF AN INTRAORAL STRUCTURE, AND COLOR REFERENCE TEMPLATE AND SYSTEM FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD
The invention relates to a method for the digital acquisition of an intraoral structure by scanning the structure using an intraoral color scanner which, according to the invention, is designed to correct color values of the scanning points using a color reference template of a reference color space.
PROSTHETIC TOOTH
A prosthetic tooth for a denture comprises a lingual or palatal surface, an opposing vestibular surface, opposing proximal surfaces, an incisal or occlusal surface and an opposing apical surface, wherein a pocket or slot is defined in the apical surface. The pocket or slot makes it easier to determine whether the tooth is positioned correctly when the tooth is aligned with a denture plate and assists with determining whether the tooth has twisted or tilted.
