SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERSONALIZED ORAL IRRIGATION
Described herein are systems and methods for providing personalized oral irrigation. One variation of a system for personalized oral irrigation comprises a fluid reservoir and a customized oral insert in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir. The oral insert comprises an arrangement of fluid openings positioned based on the individual oral or dental structures of a user's teeth to provide a customized fluid flow over the user's teeth. Also described herein are methods for generating an arrangement of fluid openings in a customized oral insert.
DENTAL FLOSS INSERTION DEVICE
A dental floss insertion device for inserting an end of a length of dental floss into an enclosed oral space. The device may include a body and a tip attached to the body and cooperating with the body to define a floss guide path. A first roller may be positioned on a first side of the guide path and a second roller may be positioned on a second side of the guide path. The second roller may be moveable toward and away from the first roller to open and close a nip that receives the length of floss, thereby allowing a user to apply a compressive force on a piece of floss located between the first and second rollers while simultaneously rolling the second roller to advance the end of the length of floss along the guide path, through the distal orifice, and into an enclosed oral space. The body may include a removable carriage member that defines the floss guide path and supports the first and second rollers.
Multi-functional visual electric toothbrush
Disclosed is a multi-functional visual electric toothbrush, including a main unit, an oral viewer, an interdental cleaning appliance and an electric toothbrush head. The oral viewer is connected to the main unit, the interdental cleaning appliance is connected to the front end of the oral viewer, and the electric toothbrush head is connected to a toothbrush driving mechanism. A circuit system and a control system of the main unit can not only transfer the energy of a power supply to the toothbrush driving mechanism, so as to drive the electric toothbrush head to work for large-area oral cleaning, but also connect a lighting system, an observation system and a switch of the oral viewer to control the oral viewer to work. The interdental cleaning appliance may be used cooperatively with the oral viewer to perform targeted cleaning on difficult-to-clean food debris in an oral cavity.
Dental Brushing Equipment with Attached Dental Floss Dispensing System
The disclosure relates generally to products for dental hygiene. In one embodiment, a toothbrush includes a toothbrush head with toothbrush bristles, a toothbrush handle that is connected to the toothbrush head, and a dental floss dispensing system. The dental floss dispensing system is connected to the toothbrush handle. In other embodiments, a dental floss dispensing system is connected to either a toothpaste tube body or a toothpaste cap of a toothpaste tube.
Drivetrain assembly for a personal care device
A drivetrain assembly (100) for a personal care device (10), the drivetrain assembly including a primary resonator (110); a secondary resonator (140) configured to reduce vibrations transmitted from the motor to a body (12) of the personal care device; a fixed point (130) positioned between the primary resonator and the secondary resonator; a first spring member (120) connected at a first end to the primary resonator and at a second end to the fixed point; a second spring member (150) connected at a first end to the secondary resonator and at a second end to the fixed point; a coupling spring (160) connected at a first end to the primary resonator and at a second end to the secondary resonator; and an actuator (170) configured to exert force on at least one of the primary resonator and the secondary resonator.
The second roller may be moveable toward and away from the first roller to open and close a nip that receives the length of floss, thereby allowing a user to apply a compressive force on a piece of floss located between the first and second rollers while simultaneously rolling the second roller to advancing the end of the length of floss along the guide path, through the distal orifice, and into an enclosed oral space.
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE FOR PERSONAL CARE
An electrical appliance for personal care includes a handle with a longitudinal axis, and a plug-on part which can be attached to the handle, wherein a vibration unit having an electric motor and an eccentric element is arranged in the handle, wherein a plug-like coupling structure protrudes from the handle, which plug-like coupling structure forms an interface with a substantially mirror-inverted socket-like coupling structure of the plug-on part, wherein the interface has at least two stages with different circumferential geometry, wherein at least one of the stages has a rotation-preventing means between the handle and the plug-on part, and wherein a stop surface of the handle for the plug-on part extends obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the handle.
Automatic dental flosser
An automatic dental flosser (10,11,37) includes a floss cartridge or attachment (14,15,17,19) detachably connectable to a power driver (12,13). The attachment comprises a plastic bifurcated member (16,82) supporting a dental floss span for flossing teeth. A rotatably supported floss supply spool (58) is connected to the bifurcated member for continuously replacing used floss spans with clean floss spans. A rotatably supported floss take-up spool (50,72) is connected to the bifurcated member for being driven by the driver to wind used floss drawn from the bifurcated member. Means for encapsulating the used floss and for distributing antimicrobial fluid (69) on the used floss are included to inhibit microbial activity. Means are provided to distribute used floss along a take-up spool for high-capacity used floss storage until disposal of the cartridge. In the unlikely event of a floss snag, such as on a dental appliance, a built-in floss cutter (88) can instantly detach the flosser.
ARBITRARY MOTION TOOTHBRUSH
A method and apparatus which permits arbitrary, relative motions of a distal end of a toothbrush and/or flosser with respect to a handle. Said motions are selectable by a user in real time by a selection switch. The toothbrush herein includes an elongated body used as a handle, and smaller elongated member serving as the toothbrush post. A mechanism mechanically couples said handle to said toothbrush post member permitting relative translational movement of said toothbrush post with respect to said handle.
