ORAL TREATMENT DEVICE
An oral treatment device includes image sensor equipment configured to generate image data indicative of a sequence of images representing at least a portion of an oral cavity of a user. The oral treatment device includes a controller configured to process the image data to determine a movement parameter indicative of movement of the oral treatment device relative to an interproximal gap between adjacent teeth in the oral cavity of the user. The controller is configured to control the oral treatment device to perform an action based on the determined movement parameter.
ORAL TREATMENT DEVICE
An oral treatment device includes intraoral image sensor equipment configured to generate image data representing at least a portion of the oral cavity of a user during use by the user of the oral treatment device. The oral treatment device includes a controller configured to process the generated image data to determine location data indicating a location of an interproximal gap between adjacent teeth in the oral cavity of the user. The controller is configured to process the generated image data using a trained classification algorithm configured to identify interproximal gaps, the trained classification algorithm having been trained prior to the use of the oral treatment device. The controller is configured to, during the use of the oral treatment device, control the oral treatment device to deliver a treatment to the detected interproximal gap based on the location data.
Personal hygiene device and method of controlling a personal hygiene device
A personal hygiene device has a drive unit, an energy storage, such as a rechargeable battery, a determination unit for repeatedly or constantly determining an energy storage level of the energy storage, and a control unit arranged for providing energy from the energy storage at the drive unit during an on state of the device and for gradually reducing the energy level from a nominal energy level to a first reduced energy level during a first energy level reduction time period when the determined energy storage level has fallen below a first energy storage level threshold but is above a second energy storage level threshold and for continuing provision of the first reduced energy level while the device stays in an on state and the determined energy storage level stays above the second energy storage level threshold.
Personal hygiene device with resonant motor
A personal hygiene device has a resonant motor and a motor control unit for applying a periodic voltage signal with a driving frequency at the resonant motor for driving the resonant motor into an oscillating motion with an oscillating frequency equal to the driving frequency. The motor control unit comprises a synthesizer circuit for digitally synthesizing the periodic voltage signal from voltage pulses of variable length provided with a pulse frequency higher than the driving frequency such that at least two voltage pulses are applied at least in one of two half cycles of each period of the periodic voltage signal.
DRIVETRAIN ASSEMBLY FOR A PERSONAL CARE DEVICE
A drivetrain assembly (100) for a personal care device (10), the drivetrain assembly including a primary resonator (110); a secondary resonator (140) configured to reduce vibrations transmitted from the motor to a body (12) of the personal care device; a fixed point (130) positioned between the primary resonator and the secondary resonator; a first spring member (120) connected at a first end to the primary resonator and at a second end to the fixed point; a second spring member (150) connected at a first end to the secondary resonator and at a second end to the fixed point; a coupling spring (160) connected at a first end to the primary resonator and at a second end to the secondary resonator; and an actuator (170) configured to exert force on at least one of the primary resonator and the secondary resonator.

INTERPROXIMAL PICK DEVICE FOR A SONIC VIBRATION GENERATING HANDLE
An interproximal pick device has an elongate resilient pick that extends from a rigid tubular housing. A proximal end of the elongate resilient pick is fixedly secured within an inner conduit adjacent a top end of the rigid tubular housing. A resilient tube is positioned within the inner conduit adjacent a bottom end of the rigid tubular housing. The resilient tube is sized and shaped to receive the mounting post of a sonic vibration generating handle, such that sonic vibrations from the mounting post are transmitted through the resilient tube, through the rigid tubular housing, and into the elongate resilient pick, for cleaning between the teeth.
METHOD FOR CLEANING TEETH
A method of cleaning teeth includes the steps of providing a vibration generating handle that generates vibrations via a mounting post. An interproximal pick device is adapted to be mounted on the mounting post and includes an elongate resilient pick that is sized and shaped for cleaning between the teeth. A rigid tubular housing defines an inner conduit, with a proximal end of the elongate resilient pick being fixedly secured within the inner conduit adjacent a top end, and a resilient tube positioned within the inner conduit adjacent a bottom end. The interproximal pick device is mounted on the mounting post of the vibration generating handle such that the mounting post frictionally engages the resilient tube and transmits vibrations through the resilient tube to the elongate resilient pick.
