PERSONAL HYGIENE DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING A PERSONAL HYGIENE DEVICE
A personal hygiene device has a drive unit, an energy storage, such as a rechargeable battery, a determination unit for repeatedly or constantly determining an energy storage level of the energy storage, and a control unit arranged for providing energy from the energy storage at the drive unit during an on state of the device and for gradually reducing the energy level from a nominal energy level to a first reduced energy level during a first energy level reduction time period when the determined energy storage level has fallen below a first energy storage level threshold but is above a second energy storage level threshold and for continuing provision of the first reduced energy level while the device stays in an on state and the determined energy storage level stays above the second energy storage level threshold.
Personal hygiene device with resonant motor
A personal hygiene device has a resonant motor and a motor control unit for applying a periodic voltage signal with a driving frequency at the resonant motor for driving the resonant motor into an oscillating motion with an oscillating frequency equal to the driving frequency. The motor control unit comprises a synthesizer circuit for digitally synthesizing the periodic voltage signal from voltage pulses of variable length provided with a pulse frequency higher than the driving frequency such that at least two voltage pulses are applied at least in one of two half cycles of each period of the periodic voltage signal.
DRIVE SYSTEM FOR PERSONAL-CARE APPLIANCE AND METHOD OF OPERATION THEREOF
A power toothbrush apparatus may include a body having a cavity and an opening leading to the cavity. An electric motor may be situated within the cavity and may include first and second biasing members; a stator casing situated between, and linearly biased by, the first and second biasing members, the stator casing may further include at least one opening and at least one electromagnet to generate a magnetic field; and a rotor which may have opposed ends and which may extend through the at least one opening of the stator casing, the rotor may further include an output shaft. The power toothbrush may further include a workpiece having a brush head coupled thereto and which may be coupled to one of the opposed ends of the output shaft.
Systems and methods for personalized oral irrigation
Described herein are systems and methods for providing personalized oral irrigation. One variation of a system for personalized oral irrigation comprises a fluid reservoir and a customized oral insert in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir. The oral insert comprises an arrangement of fluid openings positioned based on the individual oral or dental structures of a user's teeth to provide a customized fluid flow over the user's teeth. Also described herein are methods for generating an arrangement of fluid openings in a customized oral insert.
OPERATING METHOD OF WATER FLOSSER AND WATER FLOSSER
The present application proposes an operating method of a water flosser and a water flosser. The operating method of the water flosser includes a spot spraying mode and a pause mode; the spot spraying mode and the pause mode are switchable by an operation of a user; in the spot spraying mode, the water flosser does not perform water flossing by default after being powered on, and performing operations by the user enables the water flosser to perform or pause the water flossing; and in the pause mode, the water flosser directly performs the water flossing by default after being powered on, and performing operations by the user enables the water flosser to pause or resume the water flossing.
Cleaning device for teeth
An oral insert includes a plurality of manifolds and a plurality of fluid nozzles. A manifold switch is coupled to the plurality of manifolds. The manifold switch is configured to select which of the plurality manifolds is to receive fluid from a fluid source.
Toothbrush with Fluid Jet Flosser
An oral care device is provided for cleaning and flossing all of a user's teeth simultaneously. In some embodiments, such a device comprises brushes for cleaning multiple teeth simultaneously. In some embodiments, such a device includes a generally U-shaped brush head, featuring channel(s) accepting, cleaning and/or treating all of a user's teeth simultaneously. Customized fluid jets within such devices are provided between bristles of a brush head, introducing water, dentifrices and other treatments between a user's teeth and gums. In some embodiments, compartments and cartridges with a proprietary form factor for delivering dentifrice and other treatments and for disposing of waste without mess are provided. In some embodiments, data are gathered, analyzed and serve as the basis for a treatment plan, which may then be carried out by the system(s), device(s) and method(s), over time.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERSONALIZED ORAL IRRIGATION
An oral insert includes a fluid inlet, a plurality of manifolds, and an embedded RFID chip. The fluid inlet is configured to engage a handle. The plurality of manifolds are coupled to the fluid inlet. Each of the manifolds includes a plurality of fluid openings. The RFID chip is configured to store patient-specific data.
HAND HELD DENTAL FLOSSING DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
A hand-held dental flossing device facilitates a user to control feed and tension of a dental floss during the flossing of teeth. The hand-held dental flossing device comprises a body having a handle, a head with plurality of arms, and a floating platform. The plurality of arms comprises one or more closed loops to facilitate a passage of a dental floss. The floating platform comprises a first spool, and a second spool. The first spool is configured for unwinding the dental floss for discharging upon rotation by a user. The second spool is adapted to wind a used portion of the dental floss upon rotation of the first spool and the second spool simultaneously by the user. The hand-held dental flossing device enables the user to control the tension of the dental floss at various modes by operating the first spool and the second spool.
FLOSSING DEVICE
A flossing device is provided that, in some embodiments, includes a removable flossing head and a main body. The flossing head includes a mounting portion and arms extending therefrom to hold dental floss between the arms. The main body includes a handle portion and a neck portion extending from the handle portion. The neck portion has a receiving structure establishing a groove configured to engagingly receive and permit disengaging removal of the mounting portion of the flossing head.
