Dual-stiffness bracket for electric toothbrush with brushing force sensor assembly
An electric toothbrush (10) and method of operating an electric toothbrush. The electric toothbrush includes a handle portion (14) having a shaft (38) configured to receive a brushing load from a bristled end (18) of a brush head (12). A sensor assembly (30) is configured to determine a deflection proportional to the brushing load with respect to a first direction (24) associated with the brushing load. The sensor assembly includes an air gap (32) and is configured to determine the deflection based on changes in the air gap. A mounting bracket (50) is connected between opposite sides of the air gap, the mounting bracket having a first bending stiffness with respect to the first direction, and a second bending stiffness with respect to a second direction (28) generally opposite to the first direction. The first bending stiffness is greater than the second bending stiffness.
System and method for moulding a tufted body with a curved outer surface
A mould system for producing a tufted body having a curved outer surface, for example one hemispherical half of a spherical toothbrush head, the mould system comprising a mould form having a receptacle and an annular flange circumscribing an open end of the receptacle and at least one slot formed substantially radially in the flange and extending into a sidewall of the receptacle.
Structure for coupling toothbrush head to electric toothbrush handle
This document also discloses a member for mounting a toothbrush head to an electric toothbrush. The member includes a base having an opening for receiving a drive shaft of an electric toothbrush. The member also includes a coupling section that includes a cylindrical sidewall that surrounds a cavity for receiving the drive shaft. The member includes a spring in the coupling section. The spring is positioned to transfer vibration from the drive shaft to the toothbrush head when operated.
REMOVABLE BRUSH HEAD
A brush head for an oral cleansing device is disclosed. The brush head may include a brush body defining a shaft cavity, one or more contact pads coupled to the brush body and extending at least partially into the shaft cavity, and a biasing arm coupled to the brush body and extending at least partially into the shaft cavity, where the biasing arm exerts a biasing force towards the one or more contact pads.
Electric toothbrush head
Provided is an electric toothbrush head including a brush body and an inserting block. A receiving cavity is provided in a lower part of the brush body and is inserted by the inserting block; the inserting block is provide internally with a machine core channel into which a vibrating- machine core is inserted; a pin is provided in the brush body, is inserted in an upper part of the inserting block, and fixedly connects the upper part of the inserting block with the brush body; a bottom abutment ring is formed on a bottom of the inserting block and is located below the brush body; the upper part of the inserting block is in fixed connection with the brush body via the pin, and the bottom of the inserting block abuts against the bottom of the brush body via the bottom abutment ring.
TOOTHBRUSH HOSE CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure includes embodiments directed to an oral cleansing device. The device may include a handle housing and a hose connector. The handle housing may include an end defining an aperture and the hose connector may be releasably coupled to the end. The hose connector may include a hose fluidly coupled to a reservoir and a body defining an inlet and an outlet. The hose may be coupled to the body and be in fluid communication with the inlet. The hose connector may include a collar coupled to the body and positioned around the hose at the inlet. In a first configuration, the outlet of the body may be positioned within the aperture of the handle housing and in a second configuration the outlet of the body may be separated from the handle housing.
Ionic toothbrush
The disclosure provides an ionic toothbrush having an elongated body that may be configured to have a one-piece design, or alternatively one or more components of the ionic toothbrush may be removable and/or replaceable. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides an ionic toothbrush which includes a handle portion, a brush head portion including a plurality of bristle tufts; and an electrical circuit configured to transmit a negative electrical charge through at least a portion of the brush head, wherein the electrical circuit includes one or more sections of conductive resin present on an outer surface of one or both of the handle portion and the brush head portion.
