Oral care device
An oral care device may include: a body including a head; a plurality of teeth cleaning elements extending from the head; a first sacrificial electrode on the head; a second sacrificial electrode on the head and spaced apart from the first sacrificial electrode; a power source; and a controller configured to alternate between an ON state and an OFF state, wherein: in the ON state the controller operably couples the power source to the first and second sacrificial electrodes to create an electric potential between the first sacrificial electrode and the second sacrificial electrode, the electric potential having one of a first polarity and a second polarity, and for each successive transition from the OFF state to the ON state, the controller is configured to alternate between the first polarity and the second polarity.
TOOTHBRUSH CAPABLE OF SIMULTANEOUSLY BRUSHING ENTIRE SURFACE OF TEETH
The present invention relates to a toothbrush and, more particularly, to a toothbrush produced by providing soft bristles on a side of a solid bar and capable of easily and simultaneously cleaning a total of six surfaces, e.g., upper and lower flat surfaces, upper left and upper right side surfaces, and lower left and lower right side surfaces, of teeth based on a simple user operation of grasping the toothbrush with a hand.
COATED ABRASIVE TOOL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND ABRASIVE DENTAL PRODUCT
The invention relates to a coated abrasive tool including a carrier which has a carrier material and including an abrasive surface coating on a surface region of the carrier. The abrasive surface coating has abrasive functional particles and a thermoplastic binder for an adhesive connection between at least some of the abrasive functional particles and the carrier material. At least some of the abrasive functional particles on the surface region of the carrier are partly integrated into the carrier material and are connected to the carrier material, and at least some of the abrasive functional particles on the surface region of the carrier are additionally partly integrated into the thermoplastic binder, the thermoplastic binder being connected to the abrasive functional particles and the carrier material.
Powered oral care implement
An oral care implement including a handle and an oral care refill head. The handle has a gripping portion, an engagement component coupled to a distal end of the gripping portion, and a stem. The engagement component includes a plate portion and a first engagement feature. The stem extends through an opening in the engagement component and protrudes from the plate portion. The oral care refill head includes an oral care treatment portion and a sleeve portion. The sleeve portion has an inner surface that defines a sleeve cavity having a cavity axis and a second engagement feature. When the oral care refill head is detachably coupled to the handle, the first and second engagement features mate with one another to at least one of: (1) position the oral care refill head and the handle in an operational alignment; and (2) lock the oral care refill head to the handle.
DENTAL TOOL AND DENTAL SYSTEM
The invention relates to a dental tool having a shank region, which is formed for coupling to a dental handpiece, and also having a work region, which is connected to the shank region. In this case, the shank region of the dental tool is formed so that there is the possibility of latchable insertion and removal without actuation. In particular, at least the shank region can consist of plastics material. As a result, inter alia facilitated handling of the tool and inexpensive production of the tool are rendered possible.
Oral care implement
The present disclosure is concerned with an oral hygiene implement having a longitudinal axis, a carrier element mounted for driven movement, a motion transmitter that has a first end for transferring a drive force to the carrier element, which first end is provided at a position being offset from the longitudinal axis, and the motion transmitter has a second end positioned essentially on on the longitudinal axis or is arranged for being positioned essentially on the longitudinal axis during operation, wherein the motion transmitter has a first coupling part comprising the first end, which first coupling part essentially extends along a centre axis arranged at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis, and a second coupling part comprising the second end, which first coupling part is fixedly connected with a first connecting portion of an elastic pivot element that allows that the first coupling part and the second coupling part can pivot with respect to each other at least in a first pivoting plane spanned by the longitudinal axis and by the centre axis, and wherein the first coupling part is made from a plastics material, including reinforced plastics materials, having a Young's modulus of at least 5000 MPa or from a metal material, and at least the first connecting portion, in particular the whole elastic pivot element, is made from a plastics material having a Young's modulus of not more than 3000 MPa, optionally of not more than 1000 MPa, further optionally of not more than 500 MPa.
Brush head for electric toothbrush
A toothbrush head may include a brush section with bristles thereon, a stem extending from the brush section and a coupling member mountable to inside the stem. The coupling member may have a body that has an opening for receiving a drive shaft of an electric toothbrush handle into the coupling member, and a handle coupling section extending from the body and having a wall and an aperture within the wall for receiving the drive shaft. The wall has at least two longitudinal slits and a resilient wall between the two slits, where the resilient wall may engage with the drive shaft when the drive shaft is inserted into the coupling member. At least a portion of the body of the coupling member and at least a portion of the stem may each have a cone shape that corresponds to each other to achieve a coupling.
Electric Toothbrush Apparatus
An electric toothbrush apparatus including an electric toothbrush handle and a cap coupled thereto for protecting tooth cleaning elements and a user actuatable switch. The electric toothbrush apparatus includes an electric toothbrush handle extending along a handle axis. The electric toothbrush handle comprises a handle portion comprising user actuatable input means, a power source, and a motion inducing assembly. A cap is detachably coupled to the electric toothbrush handle. The cap comprises a tubular sidewall forming a cavity about a cap axis and a protective member axially extending from a bottom edge of the tubular sidewall in a cantilevered manner so as to overly the user actuatable input means to prevent accidental actuation thereof.
ORAL CARE DEVICE HAVING A PUMP-FREE FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM
A powered oral care apparatus (2) has a pump-free fluid delivery system for delivering one or more fluids to the oral cavity of a user. The oral care apparatus may employ an oral care assembly (30) that has a capsule member (38) for delivering fluid through a number of openings (31, 46) in response to movement of a head (4) of the oral care apparatus. The oral care apparatus may also employ an oral care assembly (62) having a diaphragm member (84) and a mass member (88) coupled thereto wherein, in response to motion being imparted to the brushhead, the mass member and diaphragm member generate a pumping force to cause fluid to be delivered out of the oral care assembly.
TOOTH BRUSH APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
A tooth brush apparatus is disclosed including a plurality of brush heads disposed on the top surface, the first side surface, and the second side surface of the top portion to clean every tooth in the human mouth.
