The structural characteristics as defined herein may include vibration damping capacities, acoustic damping capacities, structural integrity or structural stability.
ORAL CARE SYSTEM, IMPLEMENT, AND/OR KIT
An oral care device having a head with cleaning elements and a handle coupled to the head. The handle may include a selectively rotatable ring arranged between the head and a distal end of the handle that is configured to allow a user to select a desired mode of operation of the oral care device. The handle may include a selectively illuminated light that is configured to display at least one color that visually indicates that certain behaviors, patterns, and/or consistent habits have been performed successfully. The handle may include a processor configured to track a duration of a user's brushing session, a light ring on a bottom surface of the handle, and a pressure sensor. Respective portions of the light ring may be selectively illuminated by the processor to visualize progress toward achieving a predetermined brushing routine time and/or to visualize an over-pressure condition sensed by the pressure sensor.

UNIVERSAL BASE FOR ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH
A universal base for an electric toothbrush has a body comprising a top surface, a bottom surface, and a side surface therebetween. The base can be coupled with the toothbrush for wireless communication therebetween. The base includes a charging component for inductively charging the electric toothbrush, a Bluetooth component for communicating usage data received from the toothbrush during a brushing session, an analyzing component for instantaneous processing of the usage data received from the toothbrush, a timer-clock component for displaying either a count-up or a countdown of the brushing session during the brushing session and time of day before and after the brushing session, and a multi-functional light component for instantaneously communicating, during the brushing session, at least one element of the usage data.
Toothbrush, System, and Method for Detecting Blood in an Oral Cavity During Toothbrushing
A system for detecting blood in an oral cavity during toothbrushing. The system may include a toothbrush having a sensor that is configured to emit first light at a first wavelength and second light at a second wavelength, receive reflected portions of the first and second light, and generate a first signal indicative of a first intensity of the reflected portion of the first light and a second signal indicative of a second intensity of the reflected portion of the second light. The system may include a processor operably coupled to the sensor, the processor being configured to receive the first and second signals and calculate a ratio of the first intensity to the second intensity to determine whether hemoglobin/blood is present in the oral cavity. The processor may be a part of the toothbrush or a part of a portable electronic device such as a smart phone.
Charging stand for care apparatus that prevents corrosion of terminals
The charging stand for a care apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a fifth terminal connected to a first terminal, a sixth terminal aligned with the fifth terminal and electrically connected to a second terminal, a first cover having a cylindrical shape that stores the first terminal, a second cover having a cylindrical shape that stores the second terminal, a fifth cover having a cylindrical shape that stores the fifth terminal, and a sixth cover having a cylindrical shape that stores the sixth terminal. A shape of an input connecting portion formed by the fifth cover and the sixth cover is different from a shape of an output connecting portion formed by the first cover and the second cover.
Hand-Held Device for Fluorescence Excitation and for Irradiating Microorganisms in the Mouth and Throat
The invention relates to a hand-held device for excitation and irradiation of pathogenic microorganisms in the mouth and throat, e.g. a toothbrush comprising at least one excitation light source in the short-wave visible spectral range for auto-fluorescence excitation of the pathogenic microorganisms, at least one primary irradiation light source in the red spectral range for primary irradiation of the pathogenic microorganisms and for transillumination, and optionally at least one secondary irradiation light source in the visible spectral range for secondary irradiation of the pathogenic microorganisms, wherein the irradiation light sources have spectral components that can be absorbed by endogenous porphyrins, which are produced by the pathogenic microorganisms, whereby a fluorescence excitation and an inactivation of the pathogenic microorganisms occurs on the basis of subsequent processes. In order to prevent the unintentional irradiation of the eyes, a pressure sensor is designed to release higher light intensities only once a contact pressure has been measured. In addition, the radiation must leave the hand-held device in a divergent manner. The spatially resolved detection of the fluorescence of the pathogenic microorganisms can optionally be used to induce the inactivation of the bacteria by targeted irradiation in the fluorescent range.
