APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR SUPPORTING AND CHARGING A DENTAL DEVICE
An assembly for supporting and charging a dental device. The assembly has three major components comprising a charging base, a rinsing cup and a dental device. The assembly allows the charging base to wirelessly charge the dental device when the dental device is placed within the rinsing cup, which is located on top of the charging base. The bottom interior surface of the rinsing cup has a convex dome that helps stabilize the assembly. The dental device further includes a magnet to ensure stability and promote reliable charging.
UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS (USB) POWERED TOOTHBRUSH
A brushing system with a rechargeable toothbrush and associated charging components include a charging cup, a charging base, and a charger. The charging cup is seated on the charging base which in turn is engaged with the charger. The charger includes a universal serial bus (USB) receptacle that is configured to receive a USB header extending outwardly from the charging base. The charging base includes a first charging coil in a protrusion that extends upwardly from the charging base and into a receptacle in the charging cup. The charging cup includes a projection that is received in a recess of the toothbrush. The toothbrush includes a second charging coil that is brought into the proximity of the first charging coil when the toothbrush is placed in the cup. The toothbrush is charged by induction when prongs on the charger are engaged in an electrical wall outlet.
Inductive charger with mechanical, modular, hygienic stand for hand-held appliances
One or more exemplary embodiments comprise an inductive charging system for charging a rechargeable battery for a handheld appliance, said inductive charging system comprising: (a) an inductive charging shell comprising a power transmitter, a printed circuit board (PCB), at least one charging shell magnet, and a power supply cord; and (b) a handheld appliance comprising a handpiece, wherein within said handpiece is disposed a rechargeable battery, at least one handpiece magnet adapted to attract to the at least one charging shell magnet, and at least one power receiver.
ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH, SYSTEM, BRUSHING SITE DETECTION METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
An electric toothbrush includes a gyro sensor inside a main body. The gyro sensor detects an angular velocity of the main body and the main body includes a head portion, a neck portion, and a grip portion in a longitudinal axis direction. An angle formed by a longitudinal axis of the main body in a state that brush bristles of the head portion contact with a brushing site in a dentition with respect to the longitudinal axis of the main body in a state that the brush bristles of the head portion contact with a reference position in the dentition is obtained, based on an output from the gyro sensor. A corresponding point corresponding to the brushing site on an approximate curve that curves corresponding to the dentition is obtained based on the angle, and coordinates of the corresponding point are used as a translational position of the brushing site.
Methods of Making Personalized Toothbrush Devices
The various embodiments described herein include methods, devices, and systems for creating customized dental care. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining a dental model of a particular user's teeth and determining, based on the dental model of the particular user's teeth, a configuration for a set of cleaning elements to be included with the toothbrush device. The method further includes forming the toothbrush device for the particular user based on the dental model of the particular user's teeth, whereby the toothbrush device includes: (i) a cleaner body, personalized for the particular user based on the dental model of the particular user's teeth, that defines a cleaning cavity shaped for receiving the particular user's teeth, and (ii) the set of cleaning elements, integrally formed with the cleaner body, that contact and clean the particular user's teeth during application of the toothbrush device, whereby the cleaning elements have the determined configuration.
Caddy cover
The concept of this invention is an accessory designed for placement beneath the handle of Electric toothbrushes resting on the charging caddy. The Caddy Cover would consist of a water absorbent material containing a circular opening within its center for placement atop the pedestal. This oral care disposable product could be produced in a wide array of colors and can be available in sizes designed for placement upon various styles of electric toothbrushes. The Caddy Cover could be produced easily using conventional and readily available materials and manufacturing processes. No new production technology would be required.
Resonant wireless charging system and method for electric toothbrush
A system for wireless electrical charging is disclosed. The system may comprise a charging station and one or more electric devices. The charging station may comprise an input node configured to receive a power input, and a transmitter resonant circuit including a transmitter coupling coil configured to oscillate at a resonant frequency. The one or more electric devices may comprise a receiver resonant circuit including a receiver coupling coil wirelessly coupled to the transmitter coupling coil, and a DC voltage charger configured to charge one or more batteries in the electric device.
Method of charging a battery and a system having a dental light irradiation device and a battery charging device
A method of charging a battery of a dental light irradiation device has the steps of powering the battery at a first charging current and measuring a first terminal voltage of the battery; powering the battery at a different second charging current and measuring a second terminal voltage of the battery; calculating a battery source voltage; and powering off the battery as soon as the battery source voltage reaches or exceeds the threshold voltage.
System and method for determining structural characteristics of an object
The present invention relates generally to a system and method for measuring the structural characteristics of an object. The object is subjected to an energy application processes and provides an objective, quantitative measurement of structural characteristics of an object. The system may include a device, for example, a percussion instrument, capable of being reproducibly placed against the object undergoing such measurement for reproducible positioning. The system does not include an external on/off switch or any remote on/off switching mechanism. The system also includes a disposable feature or assembly for minimizing cross-contamination between tests. The structural characteristics as defined herein may include vibration damping capacities, acoustic damping capacities, structural integrity or structural stability.
TOOTHBRUSH WITH TAPPING MOTION
The present disclosure is directed to a low-cost toothbrush with a simple-to-manufacture design that provides a tapping motion of the brush head. In an embodiment, a dental cleaning device includes an eccentric rotating mass motor and a drive shaft mechanically coupled to the motor. A spring element is mounted to the drive shaft in a configuration in which it acts in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the drive shaft. The spring element and drive shaft form an assembly having a resonant frequency. A power source supplies to the motor power sufficient to cause the motor to operate near the resonant frequency of the assembly.
