In particular, the appliance is equipped with an ergonomic axially rotating handle, speed settings, and may have rubber bristles on the brush heads for massaging the gums during teeth cleaning. The bristles may have side-to-side or rotational action.
Oral care appliance and a method for controlling pressure therein
An oral care appliance and a method of controlling pressure in the oral care appliance are disclosed. The pressure inside a mouthpiece of the oral care appliance is controlled by an actuator. The actuator is triggered when a targeted threshold value of an operational characteristic is reached. Automatic control of the pressure in the mouthpiece enhances both cleaning efficiency and user comfort.
Handle for Oral Hygiene Tool
Disclosed herein are embodiments for a handle for securing a patient's mouth in place while an oral procedure is performed. A handle includes a handle head extending from a handle body, the handle head comprising exterior border bumpers to the sides. An indented portion lies in between the border bumpers, the indented portion having grooves oriented substantially perpendicular to a length of the border bumpers. The indented region is configured to receive a patient's teeth and lock the patient's mouth open by preventing the teeth from sliding off the surface of the handle head. With the patient's mouth securely open, a caregiver may then use a second tool (e.g., a toothbrush, flosser, tongue cleaner, etc.) for cleaning the patient's mouth or performing any other oral procedure.
POWERED ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT INCLUDING A TRACKING MODULE AND TRACKING MODULE THEREOF
An oral care system that includes an oral care implement and a tracking attachment. The oral care implement may include a handle and a head. The tracking attachment is detachably coupled to the oral care implement. The tracking attachment may include an outer casing having an outer surface and a connection element that is configured to mate with a connection element on a handle of the powered oral care implement to couple the outer casing to the handle. The tracking attachment may further include a plurality of visual markers protruding from the outer surface of the outer casing.
MANUAL TOOTHBRUSH
A manual toothbrush, including a disposable head comprising a thermoplastic material and a reusable handle comprising an aluminum material, has a center of gravity, a longitudinal axis, and mutually opposite front and back sides. The handle has a proximal end, which is adjacent to the head when the head is attached to the handle, and a distal end opposite thereto. The center of gravity lies within the handle even when the brush head is loaded with toothpaste, wherein the center of gravity is arranged at or in close proximity to the pivot point of a wrist joint of a user brushing teeth, which arrangement facilitates precise and accurate brushing movements by the user. The handle's proximal end terminates with a chamfered surface, wherein the chamfered surface and a cross-sectional area perpendicular to the axis form therebetween an angle from about 15 to about 30 such that one of the front side and the back side of the handle is shorter than the other.
FOLDING SELF-CLEANING TOOTHBRUSH
A folding self-cleaning toothbrush is configured with of a head having bristles, a handle with an open recess wherein the head can be stored, a joint which allows the head to fold into the handle, a battery, and a sanitization device with LED lights that emit light in a spectrum suitable for cleaning the head/bristles. The head may be detachable and disposable. The toothbrush also has a computing system for controlling activation of the UV light emitter/sanitization device, as well as to generate notifications related to use and/or cleaning of the toothbrush.
Oral care implement and method for manafacturing such oral care implement
An oral care implement comprises a head and a handle made of a first material. The handle has a distal end and a proximal end closest to the head. The handle comprises a thumb rest made of a second material, the second material being different from the first material. The thumb rest comprises an area from about 202 mm.sup.2 to about 360 mm.sup.2 and has a concave shape. The thumb rest comprises a portion being inclined with respect to a remaining portion of the thumb rest by an angle of about 20 to about 25, the angle being defined by a first line and a second line. The first line extends between a most elevated point and a lowest point of the thumb rest, and the second line extends between the lowest point and an end point of the thumb rest, the end point of the thumb rest being closest to the distal end of the handle.
Sonic vibration toothbrush
A sonic vibration toothbrush includes a head extending in an axial direction with a plurality of bristles implanted at an outer circumference thereof in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction; a head arm having an inner space to transmit a sonic wave to the head. A top portion of the head arm where the inner space is narrowed is coupled to the head and a motor accommodating portion that accommodates a motor therein and transmits a sonic wave generated by a rotating force of the motor to the head arm. The toothbrush further includes a handle having a space for accommodating a battery; an input unit provided at the motor accommodating portion in a button form; a display unit provided at the handle; and a control circuit that controls the motor according to input information provided from the input unit.
