ORAL CARE DEVICE AND METHOD
An oral care device has a field generator adapted to generate an electric field in a mouth of a user, responsive to an input control signal. The electric field is for imparting a force upon particles forming a biofilm to be removed by the oral care device or upon cleaning agent particles. A cyclic control signal is generated for intermittent generation of an electric field at a first RF frequency. The use of an intermittent generation of an RF electric field means the force applied to particles (in particular polarized particles) by the field is itself cyclic. The cyclic nature of this applied force is found to be more effective in the disintegration of a biofilm to be removed, and hence makes subsequent mechanical removal, e.g. by brushing, easier.
ORAL CARE DEVICE AND METHOD
An oral care device (8) for use in aiding delivery of a substance for an oral treatment purpose within the mouth. The device comprises a field generator (16) which is adapted to generate a field (20) for exerting a force on particles (20) susceptible to the field to guide movement of the particles to a desired location. When operated in the mouth, this allows oral treatment particles to be quickly, safely and efficiently distributed within the mouth to the correct locations for performing the oral treatment function.
Apparatus for dental treatment
An apparatus for treatment of teeth, including one or more dental treatment applicators having at least two walls and a floor, the walls and floor defining a well configured to accommodate at least one human dental arcade and an active agent, one or more energy-applying element located on at least one of the walls and wherein the improvement of the apparatus comprises paired dental treatment applicators configured to be applied to both upper and lower dental arcades concurrently and a number of dental treatment accelerating elements and fields.
DENTAL LASER TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO PREVENT DISCOLORATION AND AGING
In one aspect, embodiments relate to systems and methods for preventing one or more of discoloration and attrition of dental surfaces of a patient undergoing orthodontic realignment using a clear polymer aligner. An exemplary system includes: a laser arrangement configured to generate a laser beam, an optical arrangement configured to direct the laser beam toward exposed tooth surfaces, and a laser controller configured to control the laser beam in order to heat at least a portion of the exposed tooth surfaces to affect one or more of a mechanical property and a chemical property, wherein the exposed tooth surfaces are located within a cavity of the clear polymer aligner when worn.
Fluoride releasing bite plate
The present disclosure relates to bite plates for use with various orthodontic remodeling devices. A bite plate that releases fluoride during use, thus encouraging remineralization on enamel is described. Additionally, bite plates with a colorant or color-changing matrix that serve as indicators for fluoride concentration are also described.
Delivery Carrier For Tooth Whitening
A multi-phase oral composition and delivery carrier for whitening teeth.
METHOD FOR MONITORING DENTITION
A method for optimizing initial discriminating information extracted from a two-dimensional image of the patient dental arches, referred to as “acquired image”, by a three-dimensional digital reference model of at least one portion of a patient arch, the method including the steps: C1. assessing quality of the initial discriminating information and quality threshold, filtering to keep only the initial discriminating information that has quality higher than the quality threshold, and defining “the discriminating information to be tested” as the initial discriminating information selected; C2. testing consistency between the discriminating information to be tested and reference model; C3. assessing test result and, in accordance with the assessment: adding discriminating information that was not kept to the discriminating information to be tested and/or deleting discriminating information from the discriminating information to be tested, and then returning to step C2. or; defining the optimal discriminating information as the discriminating information to be tested.
Case for dental treatment device
A case for a dental treatment device includes a bottom panel having an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface of the bottom panel defines a first concave portion that corresponds to a shape of a bottom of the dental treatment device. The first concave portion forms a corresponding first convex portion of the outer surface of the bottom panel. The case also includes a top panel having an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface of the top panel defines a second concave portion that corresponds to a shape of a top of the dental treatment device. The second convex portion forms a corresponding second convex portion of the outer surface of the top panel.
COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING DENTAL WHITE SPOTS
The present disclosure provides bioactive dental restorative materials and methods for making and using them. In one embodiment, the invention relates to the development of novel poly dopamine (PDA) nanoparticles with remineralization capability.
DENTAL DEVICE
A dental device having a set of overlays wherein each overlay is dimensioned to cover a front surface of a selected human tooth so that at least one surface of the front teeth of the human are covered. An adhesive is mounted to at least a portion of the rear surface of each overlay, which may be mono or multiple layer, to secure the overlay to its associated tooth. The liners may function as cosmetic devices as well as drug delivery devices.
