Blood clot removal device, system, and method
A blood clot removal device for removing blood clots from the vascular system of a patient is implantable in the patient's body. The blood clot removal device comprises a blood flow passageway to be connected to the patient's vascular system to allow circulation of the patient's blood through the blood flow passageway, a filter provided in the blood flow passageway for collecting blood clots occurring in the blood flowing through the blood flow passageway, and a cleaning device for moving blood clots collected by the filter out of the blood flow passageway. By means of such blood clot removal device, the risk of blood clots reaching sensitive areas of the patient's body, such as the brain, is reduced.
Pelvic implant system and method
Systems and methods are provided and adapted to engage and pull (e.g., pull up) or reposition paraurethral support tissue, such as the perineal membrane. The perineal membrane intersects the urethra and vagina at the midurethra or distal location and can thus be stabilized or controlled in a manner that helps restore continence. As such, the implants can be utilized to eliminate the need for mesh or other supportive structures under the urethra that is common with other incontinence slings.
Pelvic implants and methods of making and using thereof
Pelvic implant having a frame with two arms and a sheet are disclosed. The sheet may be held under tension in the assembled implant. The implant may be planar (flat) or may be non-planar. The implant may be contoured laterally. A curved non-planar implant may be convex or concave in a rostro-caudal direction. The implants may (optionally) include two additional arms and a second sheet for supporting a urethra and/or a bladder neck. Methods for constructing and assembling the implants are disclosed. A method ultrasonically welding the frame of the implant without thermally damaging the sheet is disclosed. Methods of implantation of the implants are disclosed.
URINARY PUMPING DEVICE
An urinary pumping device for generating a fluid flow through a urethra of a patient includes an activation arrangement configured to induce intermittent compression and release of the urethra, and a mounting structure to mount and unmount the activation arrangement to a body of the patient. The mounting structure is configured to position the activation arrangement on the body of the patient such that the urethra of the patient can be intermittently compressed and released by the activation arrangement.
URINARY PUMPING DEVICE WITH AN IMPLANTABLE ACTIVATION ARRANGEMENT
A urinary pumping device (1) for generating a fluid flow through an urethra (22; 220) of a patient (2; 20), comprises an implantable activation arrangement (11) and a control unit (12). The implantable activation arrangement (11) is configured to induce intermittent compression and release of the urethra (22) when being implanted into the patient (2). The control unit (12) is coupled to the activation arrangement (11). The control unit (12) is configured to operate the activation arrangement (11) such that the fluid flow through the urethra (22) is generated by the activation arrangement (11) inducing intermittent compression and release of the urethra (22).

DRAINAGE DEVICE COMPRISING A FILTER CLEANING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a filtering device for removing particles from a bodily fluid of a patient, the filtering device being implantable in the patient's body. The device has a tube forming a main fluid passageway for bodily fluid, through which the bodily fluid of the patient passes when the tube is implanted in the patient, a filter connected to the tube and a filter cleaning device for cleaning the filter by moving particles collected by the filter out of the fluid passageway, wherein the filter cleaning device is adapted to replace the first filter in the fluid passageway with a second filter, thereby moving the particles collected by the first filter out of the fluid passageway.
Incontinence device
An incontinence device is used to apply supporting pressure to an anterior wall of an inferior third of a vaginal canal in the approximate plane of a pubococcygeal muscle and ultimately to a urethra for controlling incontinence. The incontinence device includes a first member having a first end and second end, as well as a second member resiliently connected to the first member. The second member is biased outwardly from the first member to direct the first end of the first member toward the anterior wall of the vaginal canal in a manner providing a support structure transferring upward force for support of the urethra by the first end of the first member.
Fastening means for implantable medical control assembly
A control assembly for implantation in a patient comprises a first unit adapted for subcutaneous implantation at a first side of a body tissue of said patient, a second unit adapted for implantation in a body cavity of said patient at a second side of said body tissue, wherein at least one of the first and the second unit is adapted to control an implanted powered medical device, and an interconnecting device adapted for mechanical interconnection of the first and second units to keep the assembly in place by the body tissue, the interconnecting device having a cross-sectional area which is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the first unit and the second unit in a plane parallel to the extension of the body tissue.
