SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INCONTINENCE CONTROL
A system for managing female incontinence includes a body of biocompatible material configured to fit between the labia minora and the vestibule floor, the body having a surface configured to occlude the urethral meatus, an adhesive carried on at least a first portion of the surface and configured to provide a sealing engagement between the body and the urethral meatus, and a substance carried by at least one of the body and the adhesive and configured for controlling the odor of the general vaginal-urethral area of a female.
Applicator Device
The present invention relates to an applicator for placing and positioning an object, such as a medical or veterinary device or treatment, within an orifice of a human or animal body. More specifically, the invention relates to an applicator for placing and positioning a pessary within the vagina and to kits comprising the applicator and a pre-loaded pessary. The invention also relates to methods of placing and positioning a pessary within the vagina and to methods for treating stress urinary incontinence in a woman in need thereof.
FEEDBACK MECHANISM IN A PESSARY
A feedback mechanism for an adjustable vaginal pessary adapted to provide real-time adjustments in order to provide support to vaginal walls of a patient suffering of pelvic genital organ prolapse and female urinary distress, especially stress incontinence; comprising: at least one pressure sensor; at least one computer comprising at least one microprocessor, at least one memory, at least one input/output (I/O), at least one wireless adaptor, at least one transmitter; at least one motor; at least one battery; at least one pessary adjusting mechanism; wherein a change in pressure recorded by said at least one pressure sensor activates said feedback mechanism changing configuration of said adjustable pessary. Furthermore, the present invention utilizes the pessary mechanism as a rape salvation pessary.
Vaginal insert
A vaginal insert which can be provided in an applicator for the treatment of urinary incontinence in females. The vaginal insert can provide tension-free incontinence treating support perpendicularly to the urethra (i.e., across the urethra).
Wireless power for pessary device
A pessary for the prevention of preterm birth, and in particular two pathological conditions of pregnancy known as isthmico-cervical incontinence and cervical shortening, both of which are associated with increased risks for pregnancy loss and/or premature deliveries of babies. The pessary includes a sleeve supported within a ring by an annular member. The sleeve is intended to contact the cervix and maximize the length of the cervix while the annular member and ring contact the vagina. The pessary may be fabricated from a pliable medical-grade silicon, and the pessary may include one or more sensors to measure various patient parameters indicative of a premature cervical contraction. The sleeve may be wirelessly powered from a charging device, such as a pillow, a table-top device, or a pelvic belt.
