LINEMAN TROUSERS
This invention provides for an improved lineman trouser comprising: an upper segment extending down from a waist to about 6 inches above a knee; a middle section attached to the upper segment and extending down to a bottom segment of the trouser; a gusseted crotch, wherein the upper segment constructed with only one vertical seam at a front side of the trouser above the gusseted crotch to the waist, the middle section constructed with only one vertical seam on each outside leg of the trouser, the middle section joined to the upper segment with the gusseted crotch without a central seam so that there is no central seam between the trouser's seat and the front side of the trouser.
Head support systems and methods for use
Systems and methods are provided for supporting a head of a user, e.g., while the user inclines their head downward, leans forward, and the like, for extended periods of time. In an exemplary embodiment, a harness is provided that is configured to be worn on a body of a user, the harness including a shoulder harness configured to be worn over or around one or both shoulders of the user, and a head support. The head support may include a support bracket including a first end mounted to the harness, and a rest member coupled to a second end of the support bracket such that the rest member extends across a forehead of the user and/or at least partially around the user's head when the harness is worn for supporting the user's forehead.
Carrying devices
A carrying device includes a retractable support system for equipment carried in the hand. In some embodiments, the carrying device comprises a frame assembly for transporting larger loads and optimizing the weight distribution thereof. In some embodiments, the carrying device includes a support shelf. In some embodiments, the carrying device includes an expandable volume.
Garment with carrying system
A load-bearing garment, such as a vest, is provided having stretchable web platform on an outside surface, such as between front and back panels of the vest. The stretchable web platform includes stretchable bands that extend horizontally, and vertical webbing extending between multiple horizontal bands. Additional embodiments are directed to a mounting system in a plate carrier for a plate. Still further embodiments are directed to a handle and strap system for a vest or other garment that permits a quick rescue of a person wearing the vest.
VERTICAL LIFT HARNESS AND TURNOUT GEAR
A safety harness for vertically lifting of a user is provided. The safety harness includes an upper body harness and a lower body harness which may be positioned on liners within a coat and pants of the user, respectively. The upper body harness and lower body harness attach together to function as a Class III harness enabling lifting of a user in a vertical orientation by virtue of the harness geometry. The lower body harness alone serves as a Class II harness and the upper body harness alone serves as a drag line. The harness is particularly suited to be integrated with firefighting turnout gear for ready donning with the turnout gear.
FireCoat FEDS (Fullbody Emergency Descent System)
A full body emergency descent system (EDS) for incorporating into the coat and pants of a firefighter for allowing for safe escape from elevated heights. The EDS includes: a panel housing flame resistant rope or cable into the coat, outside of its internal protective liner, with a pair of chest straps, and leg straps having lower buckles that can be fastened through pocket accesses to buckle connectors extending from each of a pair of leg loops incorporated into the pants to form a full body harness. The EDS further includes a purposefully designed control descent rack in and through which the rope/cable is wound and a friction braking handle. Preferred embodiments further incorporate a drag strap loop.
Protective garment usable with gas tank releasibly carried by shoulder straps and waist belt
A system is provided for a firefighter or other emergency worker and includes a protective coat and a self-contained breathing apparatus. The self-contained breathing apparatus includes a regulator connected by a high-pressure hose to a gas tank that is releasibly carried on the coat by shoulder straps and waist straps.
Textile Item of Clothing with Ballistic Protection
The invention relates to a textile item of clothing equipped for ballistic protection. The textile item of clothing comprises a knitted fabric. Said knitted fabric has a plurality of differently protected zones. At least two different zones are interconnected without a seam. According to the invention, at least one first to zone is formed from a yarn that inhibits the penetration of fragments.
HARNESS FOR CLIP
A harness system for a clip. The clip has a base portion and a pair of elongated members, the elongated members folded over the base portion, thereby defining a gap configured to receive portions of a harness. The elongated members are separated from one another by a longitudinal opening for accommodating a rib between the portions of the harness. A gate is securably engaged to a first one of the elongated members and rotatable between an open position in which the gate does not obstruct said longitudinal opening and a closed position in which said gate obstructs said longitudinal opening. The harness is fashioned from a strip of webbing secured to a base along its midline and edges. The webbing thereby forms two pockets, each sized to accommodate one of the elongated members of the clip.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS INCLUDING A LIFT GARMENT
Devices, systems, and methods are described including a lift garment having a fabric-like material shaped to encircle a torso and at least a portion of arms and legs of a subject; at least one lift attachment element associated with the fabric-like material at at least one of one or more lift attachment sites, the at least one lift attachment element configured to attach the lift garment to a lift apparatus; a load sensor associated with at least one of the one or more lift attachment sites or along at least one load path between the one or more lift attachment sites; a microcontroller including circuitry configured to receive and process information regarding the measured load; and a reporting device operably coupled to the microcontroller and configured to transmit one or more signals indicative of the processed information regarding the measured load.
