BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA TREATMENT DEVICE
Disclosed herein is a benign prostatic hyperplasia treatment device. The benign prostatic hyperplasia treatment device includes: anchor assemblies including a first anchor arranged at the outer surface of the prostate gland, which obstructs the prostatic urethra, a second anchor arranged inside the prostate gland to be opposed to the first anchor, and a ligature connecting the first anchor and the second anchor with each other so that the second anchor compresses the prostate tissue to secure the opening of the prostatic urethra; and a sheath inserted into the urethra and having a needle, which guides the anchor assembly to be deployed at the prostate gland.
DEVICE FOR CONTROLLABLY DEPLOYING EXPANDABLE IMPLANTS
Aspects of the present invention relate to a delivery device for locating an expandable implant for treating BPH within the prostatic urethra of a patient. The delivery device comprises an inner tube and an outer sleeve movable relative to the inner tube between a stored position and a deployed position. The outer sleeve surrounds the inner tube to define an annulus therebetween and the expandable implant is retained within the annulus when the outer sleeve is in the stored position.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE IMPLANTABLE DEVICES
A minimally invasive implantable device has a generally cylindrical device body that includes: a first end having a first element; a second end having a second element; a wall disposed between the first end and the second end, and having an inner surface and an outer surface, wherein the inner surface defines a lumen extending between the first end and the second end; and at least one protruding element protruding from the outer surface, wherein an outermost diameter of the first element and an outermost diameter of the second element is larger than a diameter of the outer surface of the wall, and the at least one protruding element does not protrude beyond the outermost diameter of the first element or the outermost diameter of the second element.
INCISING IMPLANT FOR THE PROSTATIC URETHRA
An implant for the prostatic urethra of a subject, the implant including a first frame being closed-shaped, the first frame includes two longitudinal sections; a second frame being closed-shaped, the second frame includes two longitudinal sections, wherein a mid-portion of one of the longitudinal sections of the first frame is connected in at least one of: directly and indirectly, to a mid-portion of one of the longitudinal sections of the second frame; and a third frame being distinct from the first frame and the second frame, the third frame includes a first arm section joined to the first frame, and a second arm section joined to the second frame, the first arm section and the second arm section extend such to be joined together in an apex portion.
Ureteral stent for placement in a kidney and bladder
Provided is a ureteral stent including a bladder portion positioned in a bladder of a patient, a kidney portion positioned in a kidney and ureteral passageway of the patient, and one or more tethers coupling the bladder portion to the kidney portion. The ureteral stent allows urine to pass around a blockage, and allows a ureter orifice connecting the ureteral passageway to the bladder to move between a compressed state and an uncompressed state to prevent or minimize urinary reflux, flank pain, blood in the urine, etc., while allowing the bladder portion to move freely in the bladder to prevent the bladder portion from irritating the trigone muscle.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR THE ACCURATE DEPLOYMENT OF AN IMPLANT IN THE PROSTATIC URETHRA
Systems, devices, and methods are provided for the delivery of an implant into the prostatic urethra. Embodiments of delivery systems can include a delivery device for insertion into the patient and a proximal control device for use in controlling release of the implant from the delivery device.
Expandable implant delivery device
Aspects of the present invention relate to a method for locating an expandable implant for treating BPH within the prostatic urethra of a patient. The delivery device comprises an inner tube and an outer sleeve moveable relative to the inner tube between a stored position and a deployed position. The outer sleeve surrounds the inner tube to define an annulus therebetween and the expandable implant is retained within the annulus when the outer sleeve is in the stored position.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR THE RETRIEVAL OF AN IMPLANT IN THE PROSTATIC URETHRA
Systems, devices, and methods are provided for retrieval of an implant from the prostatic urethra. Embodiments of retrieval systems can include a device for insertion into the patient and a proximal control device for use in grasping a portion of the implant and withdrawing the implant into a lumen of the retrieval system.
METHOD OF DELIVERING A UROLOGICAL DEVICE INTO A BLADDER NECK OR URETHRA OF A USER
A method of delivering a urological device includes providing a catheter and a urological valve that can be retained within the catheter; advancing the catheter toward a bladder neck of a user; withdrawing the catheter from the user; and deploying the urological valve out of the catheter into the bladder neck or urethra of the user.
URINARY PUMPING DEVICE WITH AN IMPLANTABLE ACTIVATION ARRANGEMENT
A urinary pumping device (1) for generating a fluid flow through an urethra (22; 220) of a patient (2; 20), comprises an implantable activation arrangement (11) and a control unit (12). The implantable activation arrangement (11) is configured to induce intermittent compression and release of the urethra (22) when being implanted into the patient (2). The control unit (12) is coupled to the activation arrangement (11). The control unit (12) is configured to operate the activation arrangement (11) such that the fluid flow through the urethra (22) is generated by the activation arrangement (11) inducing intermittent compression and release of the urethra (22).
