Ureteral stent for placement in a kidney and bladder
Provided is a ureteral stent for placement in a bladder, a kidney and a ureteral passageway connecting the bladder and the kidney. The ureteral stent includes a solid bladder portion free of a lumen positionable in the bladder, a tubular kidney portion positionable in the kidney and the ureteral passageway, and a tether connecting the bladder portion and the ureter portion to allow the bladder portion to float in the bladder and to allow a ureter orifice connecting the ureteral passageway to the bladder to move between a compressed state and an uncompressed state. By not having a lumen, the solid bladder portion allows the bladder to have a smaller diameter while maintaining a necessary uncoil force. The smaller diameter also allows the bladder portion to be inserted into a scope alongside a pusher tube, thereby avoiding loading the bladder portion onto a guidewire.

Biodegradable implants including an ECM material and methods for treating a pelvic floor condition are described. ECM particles can be present within or on the surface of a pelvic implant, such as a biodegradable mesh, a pouch, or a urethral stent. After implantation the implant can provide tissue support, degrade over a period of time, and deposit the ECM material in the implantation area for regeneration of tissue and long term benefit.
INTRALUMINAL DEVICES FOR TREATING BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA
Some embodiments of the invention advantageously leverage the expansion of the prostatic urethra using adjustable lumen tension rings (ALTRs) of desired sizes to control and improve flow throughout the range of the urethra. As such, some embodiments include tension ring(s) or cylinders that sits either inside or outside the prostatic wall and is at least partially within the lumen and/or is partially or fully anchored, attached, adhered, or otherwise held in place with respect to the bladder or other locations within the urethra and/or elsewhere in the urethra. The expansion of the lumen can be pre-configured based on pre-operative metrology of the prostatic urethra to a customized and adjustable fit across the various zones within the urethra and based on the patient specific and evolving needs.
Stent including anchoring members
A method for treating an intestine with an expandable scaffolding expanded within the intestine. After placing the expandable scaffolding at a target location, such as across a fistula, the first and second end portions of the expandable scaffolding are radially expanded such that the first and second end portions contact an inner surface of the intestine on opposing sides of the fistula, anchoring the first and second end portions to the intestine. Radially expanding the first and second end portions foreshortens the medial portion along the longitudinal axis such that the first and second end portions are drawn closer together along the longitudinal axis as the medial portion foreshortens to close the fistula.
