Intraocular pseudophakic contact lens with mechanism for securing by anterior leaflet of capsular wall and related system and method
An apparatus includes an intraocular pseudophakic contact lens having an optical lens and haptics extending radially from the optical lens. The haptics are configured to be inserted under an anterior leaflet of a capsular wall in an eye in order to capture and confine the haptics under the anterior leaflet. Anterior surfaces of the haptics are configured to contact an inner capsular wall surface at the anterior leaflet. Posterior surfaces of the haptics include ridges configured to contact at least one edge of an artificial intraocular lens and capture the artificial intraocular lens between the ridges. The anterior surface of each haptic includes one or more divots or holes.
Intraocular lens punch
An intraocular lens (IOL) punch includes a handpiece having an opening at a first end, a jaw comprising a first leg and a second leg joined at a first rod end of a rod, the rod extending into the opening and moveable relative to the handpiece to operate the jaw between an open position and a closed position, and a post attached to the first leg and extending toward the second leg, wherein in the open position there is a gap between the post and the second leg and in the closed position the post extends to the second leg closing the gap.
Ophthalmic device for drug delivery
An ophthalmic implant for drug delivery. The implant includes a primary intracapsular device coupled to a secondary device, wherein, when implanted in a patient's eye, the primary intracapsular device is held in place by the patient's capsular bag and the secondary device is held in place by the primary intracapsular device. The implant may be inserted in the eye by injecting the primary intracapsular device into the eye either before or after attaching the secondary device to the primary intracapsular device, and subsequently positioning the joined secondary device and primary intracapsular device with the primary intracapsular device held in place by the patient's capsular bag and the secondary device held in place by the primary intracapsular device. The secondary device may be designed to hold a tertiary device that can be implanted and attached at the time of surgery or anytime postoperatively.

Artificial eye lens
An eye lens having a front lens element and a rear lens element, which each have a positive optical power and an optical region, and an intermediate element, which is connected to the lens elements outside the optical regions so that the lens elements and the intermediate element form a cavity. The eye lens allows the width of an access incision necessary for implantation to be reduced. The eye lens includes the lens elements and the intermediate element that are shaped such that, in the implanted state, a distance between the front lens element and the rear lens element is fixed and the cavity has an opening which allows liquid to flow into the cavity. Embodiments of the invention include a method for producing such an eye lens and a method for implantation.
Pinhole intraocular onlay
An intraocular onlay includes a body with an optic portion and feet, the optic portion includes an anterior surface and a posterior surface, an annular mask of a selected optical opacity forming a pinhole, and a second optically transparent region exterior to the annular mask, where the feet extend from optic portion to be positioned within a capsular bag and rest on top of an existing intraocular lens that is located in the capsular bag.
