Closed circulation system for production of and continuously preparing a polymer solution, including a pneumatic stirrer inside and a charging hopper at a top of a drag-reducing polymer solution tank, a gas drainage pump, a submersible pump, and a compressed air pipe connected to a pneumatic diaphragm pump. A liquid inlet of the pneumatic diaphragm pump is connected to a liquid outlet of the drag-reducing polymer solution tank, and the gas drainage pump liquid discharge pipe and a liquid outlet pipe of the diaphragm pump leads to a circulation water pool; a liquid outlet of the submersible pump is connected to a liquid inlet of the drag-reducing polymer solution tank and a liquid inlet of the gas drainage pump respectively through a three way pipe. The pneumatic stirrer and pneumatic diaphragm pump operate at speeds, so the drag-reducing polymer solution is mixed uniformly and fed into the circulation water pool.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF METASTABLE STATE MIXING

Metastable state spore incubation mixing systems are described. An example system includes a spores container to store spores, a nutrient container to store nutrients, a water supply line, a syringe tank, a syringe pump, an adjustable valve, a heater, and a controller. In a drawing phase of the system, a controller can cause the syringe pump and the adjustable valve to draw into the syringe tank a volume of spores, nutrients, and water to form a mixture. The controller causes the heater to heat the mixture for a period of time. In a dispensing phase of the system, the controller can cause the syringe pump to expel the mixture through the adjustable valve and into a water distribution system. The controller can direct the system through a number of other phases of operation.

Systems and methods for sensing an amount of a liquid in a container are provided. A conduit is provided that has a length positioned relative to a portion of the container where a level of the liquid in the container changes when liquid is added to the container or liquid is removed from the container. The conduit is in fluid communication with the container to therefore allow an amount of the liquid to enter the conduit that is proportional to the amount of the liquid in the container. An outlet is provided along with a valve. The valve is in fluid communication with the conduit and the outlet, where the valve is selectable to allow the amount of liquid in the conduit to pass to the outlet, the amount of liquid passing to the outlet proportional to the amount of liquid in the container.

Adding the second liquid includes measuring a flow rate of the first liquid or the diluted solution that flows through the first pipe; measuring a component concentration of the diluted solution; and controlling the pressure in the tank, based on the measured values of the flow rate and the component concentration, so as to adjust the component concentration of the diluted solution to a specified value.

The system also includes an additive dispensing system having a fluid sensing chamber with sensors. The system also includes an additive delivery system, which delivers the selected additive to the additive dispensing system, and a processor which causes the fluid sensing chamber to receive a sample of the working fluid, receives measurement signals from the one or more fluid parameter sensors corresponding with the values of fluid parameters of the working fluid, and determines values for fluid parameters of the working fluid based on the measurement signals. The processor also causes the additive delivery system to deliver the selected additive to the additive dispensing system and causes the additive dispensing system to dispense the selected additive into the working fluid through the fluid sensing chamber.

A fluid metering system for accurately measuring and dosing one or more fluids. The fluid metering system generally includes a closed loop feedback system that monitors the volume of liquid chemical input into a system over a period of time. Based on the measured amount of chemical input into a system over a period of time, the system calculates whether or not an adjustment is required for the next input of chemical. The various embodiments utilize a measuring tube that is filled with a liquid chemical. A pressure sensor measures the pressure of the chemical in the measuring tube when filled and after emptied to calculate the total volume of chemical input into the system.
