VALVE CUSP SIZER
A valve cusp sizer includes a back surface brought into contact with a living body, and a hole that is formed on the top surface at a distance from the center in a left-right direction toward one side in the left-right direction and into which a support rod is inserted.
VALVE PLANNING TOOL
A valve planning tool comprising: (a) a stem having a distal end and a proximal end, (b) an anchor indicator located at the distal end, and (c) a balloon located proximal of the anchor indicator, the balloon including: (i) a retracted state and (ii) a deployed state; wherein the balloon is inflatable from the retracted state to the deployed state and the balloon is substantially non-compliant so that the balloon is only inflatable to one size.
Measurement and simulation device used for aortic valve-sparing root replacement operations
This invention is related to the device used in the valve sparing aortic root replacement which is a special operation aimed at the root of the main vessel—aorta originating from the heart or known as ‘David Procedure’ (Re-implantation technique) in the literature.
TECHNIQUES FOR FLUOROSCOPIC CARDIAC MEASUREMENT
A method is described, for use with a native valve of a heart of a subject, the valve being disposed between an atrium and a ventricle of the heart. A first radiopaque marker and a second radiopaque marker are percutaneously advanced to the heart. The first radiopaque marker is placed against a tissue site in the ventricle. The second radiopaque marker is placed against a component of the valve. A distance is fluoroscopically measured between the first radiopaque marker at the tissue site, and the second radiopaque marker at the component. At least one of the radiopaque markers is then withdrawn from the heart. Other embodiments are also described.
Epicardial clip
An epicardial clip for reshaping the annulus of the mitral valve of a heart includes a curved member having an anterior segment configured to be positioned in the transverse sinus of the heart, a posterior segment configured to be positioned on the posterior side of the heart, such as on or inferior to the atrioventricular groove, and a lateral segment extending between the anterior segment and the posterior segment. The lateral segment includes a curve such that the first end of the member is positioned at or above the plane of the mitral valve and the second end of the member is positioned at or below the plane of the mitral valve.
COMPRESSIBLE HEART VALVE ANNULUS SIZING TEMPLATES
Compressible heart valve annulus sizing templates suitable for minimally-invasive or otherwise reduced accessibility surgeries. The sizing templates may be folded, rolled, or otherwise compressed into a reduced configuration for passage through an access tube or other such access channel. Once expelled from the access tube the sizing templates expand to their original shape for use in sizing the annulus. The templates may be formed of an elastomeric polymer material such as silicone, a highly elastic metal such as NITINOL, or both. Grasping tabs or connectors for handles permit manipulation from outside the body. A NITINOL wireform may be compressed for passage through an access tube and expelled from the distal end thereof into a cloth cover to assume a sizer shape.
Funnel to Prescribe Folding and Expression Pattern of Prosthetic Heart Valve
A loading funnel for a prosthetic heart valve includes a proximal connector configured for releasably securing the funnel to a holding tube for a prosthetic heart valve, a distal end for receiving the prosthetic heart valve in an at least partially expanded state, and a passage extending between the distal end and the proximal connector. The passage includes a conical portion that is wider at a distal end and narrower at a proximal end and centered along a cone axis. One or more internal fins each extend from a relatively proximal location in the conical portion to a relatively distal location in the conical portion and protrude toward the cone axis.
System and method for catheter-based intervention
Systems and methods for planning delivery of an object via a catheter, such as transseptal delivery of a prosthetic mitral valve to a patient's heart are disclosed.
System and a method for delivery of an annuloplasty implant
A delivery system and method for delivery of an annuloplasty implant for a patient are disclosed. The delivery system comprises a commissure locator device for locating a commissure, comprising; an extension member, a catheter, and wherein the extension member is extendable relative the catheter for location of at least one commissure of a cardiac valve, and a coronary sinus contractor for temporary insertion into the coronary sinus (CS) and having a displacement unit being temporarily transferable to an activated state in Which the shape of the annulus Of the heart valve is modified to a modified shape to be retained by said annuloplasty implant.
Covered heart valve sizer
A heart valve sizer and sizer cover are provided for determining the size of a heart valve annulus. The valve sizer can include a handle, a shaft extending distally from the handle, a sizing element coupled to the distal end of the shaft, the sizing element being movable between a first retracted position and a second expanded position, and a sizer cover. The sizer cover can be formed from a continuous sheet of material configured to surround at least a portion of the sizing element of the heart valve sizer so as to guard against entanglement of the sizing element with structures of a human heart.
